Nestled at the foot of Trysilfjellet lies this charming Trybo cabin from the 1970s, which combines original architecture and character with modern amenities. Its secluded location at the far end of the cabin area offers a unique sense of peace and privacy, with direct access to nature.
Inside, you’re greeted by a cozy atmosphere with the original open fireplace as the centerpiece for cozy gatherings. The living room is TV-free to preserve the tranquility, while the annex offers a separate TV room with a sofa bed and a loft, as well as a small work desk. The inviting bathroom offers views of the mountains while you enjoy a relaxing bath.
Out front, several cozy seating areas await, where you can enjoy the view of Trysilfjellet and observe the abundant birdlife by the fire pit on bright summer evenings. A family of hares that has made its home beneath the cabin for nearly 50 years pops up from time to time, adding to the special atmosphere.
The area offers many wonderful opportunities in the summer. Head to Brannhytta for freshly baked waffles, visit the climbing park, or go for a swim in the Trysil River. At Fageråsen, you’ll find a large network of off-road bike trails with a bike lift up the mountain and fantastic downhill runs. You can pick cloudberries, lingonberries, and wild raspberries right by the cabin, and there are fantastic fishing opportunities in the area.
From the cabin, you have easy access to Trysil’s world-famous ski trails and one of Europe’s largest alpine resorts. The ski center, with shops, restaurants, and après-ski, is just a five-minute drive away, or about a 15-minute walk. With a ski pass, the ski bus takes you to the center or the village center, stopping on request just a 2-minute walk from the cabin.
Ski-in/ski-out: There are cross-country trails right outside the cabin.
