Wow! What a fabulous Staff! They were all so friendly and kind. They really made sure I had everything I needed. I've never seen hotel staff so caring. Especially the manager Hursel. I've also never seen a manager do so much grunt work before. I stayed during the major snow storm in Northern Michigan. He was constantly shoveling and helping guests. He kept the Breakfast Bar full and took care of the guest and laundry when no other staff could make it in. And so friendly and kind. I really enjoyed it and I'll be back.

The room was clean, and the staff were great. I didn’t love that tipping the staff was so blatant (envelope & QR code in the room, plus when checking out online. It was fine as a crash pad as we didn’t spend much time there, but attention to detail was lacking. The bathroom door was clearly patched back together, the clothesline in the shower must have pulled out of the wall, and it was remounted (poorly as it was still lopsided and not in all the way) below where the original holes were still gaping in the wall. Is it fine for a crash pad? Absolutely. Just don’t anticipate a hotel that cares about the details.

The rooms are clean and comfy. The pool room was a bit cool for the time of year and if you're brave enough the hot tub is outside. It was snowing while we were in tge hot tub which was very cool.
