Historic house

Interesting historic house, once a nurses home as it’s opposite a hospital! No reception, access via a door code sent to you by SMS on day of arrival. Except mine did not arrive. Had to work out who to phone (security guy) then was told room wasn’t ready. All a bit of a nuisance as we were tired after a long journey. But having spoken to the staff, ten mins later my code arrived. Total delay 20 mins. However, room was fine though very small, with useful kitchenette. All very clean and quiet too. There’s a small cafe to buy breakfast. Easy location for walking into town and down to harbour.

No receptionist

The building itself doesn’t conceal sound very well. A lot of noise is transferred throughout the building. The couple in the suite above me was screaming and throwing furniture one night of my stay and it was extremely disruptive. A security guard was supposed to arrive and support but nothing changed. The hotel doesn’t have a reception so you don’t feel like your concerns are actioned.

Ever again

The appartment was fine but i ordered a 2 double bed apartment and 1 of the double bed was the sofa, opened into a double bed. Moreover i was chocked that the breakfast does not offer any vegetarian alternative. We had to beg to get a baguette without meat in it. And due to the corona- all is served in one time use plastic. The included brakfast was one of the reason why i chose this place. I won't stay there again.

Convenient for us en route to elsewhere

I would not recommend for more than one night but was ok for us. View of a multi storey car park from our bedroom window was not attractive! Also having to pay 100 kroner to park in the hotel car park was expensive. However checking in with code was very good and worked well.
