What a beautiful hotel! The staff could not have been more gracious and helpful. The room and bathroom were lovely, the water hot, the towels fluffy. In-room robes were a nice touch. The breakfast was beautifully presented, delicious, and plentiful. Patricia, our main concierge, was beyond helpful and charming. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and stay there again.

Great place

This is a lovely hotel. Great location on an island between old an new city. Beneath the castle . The room was great, the good was great. What stands out is the level of service . I felt like I was at home.

A favorite

This was our favorite stay of our many weeks' trip throughout Portugal. It is a charming European style hotel with a modern twist. It felt like a home away from home. The staff was so very friendly and knowledgeable about Tomar and surrounding area. The hotel is situated on BEAUTIFUL grounds that we strolled several times during our stay. This is a place to enjoy and refresh, and we can't wait to return one day.

Loved this Hotel! It was our favorite of our six hotels on this trip. We stayed three nights. It sits on a beautiful park and river with easy free parking. We loved our room, the deck, the park, the river, the restaurant. David and the rest of the staff took great care of us. They were always trying make sure we were comfortable. We will return here for sure.

I have stayed at this property many times prior to its resurrection. The present owners have performed a miracle. It is very comfortable, very good restaurant, and spa wrapped around with a great staff. You will pay for this transformation. I will return.

So beautiful! Terrific amenities such as indoor/outdoor pool, massage therapist, fresh squeezed oj and papaya and fresh bread, amazing pastries and farm fresh eggs each morning. And soooo walkable! All the staff - guest services, dining staff, housekeeping were kind, helpful, gracious, and welcoming!! The hotel is set in a park on the river with walking bridges to each side. And our balcony looking over the park and river and phenomenal views of Knights Templar castle, which is within walking distance from the hotel.

Lovely balcony and nice room, bed was super comfortable and shower had great pressure - it had everything we needed. The spa is cute - though pool is definitely not big enough for a swim, we enjoyed the sauna and jacuzzi. Staff were great and it was nice to be surrounded by a park. Breakfast was passable, rather than great, but it was inexpensive, so cannot complain :)

Hôtel remarquable situé au milieu d'une île. Empruntez le petit pont à côté de la roue de moulin, même si au premier abord le passage semble interdit : c'est bien l'entrée de l'hôtel. Chambre très confortable, bonne literie, machine Nespresso, grande salle de bain. Le service est impeccable : une pensée pour Patricia qui a pu nous changer de chambre suite à une défectuosité de la climatisation et qui est charmante en plus d'être d'un professionnalisme exceptionnel. Piscine avec jets pour le dos et sauna très agéable. Déjeuner très bon.

Excellent hotel,

The hotel is on an island with the river which runs through Tomar surrounding it. On our arrival we could not see how to get onto the island and into the hotel grounds in our car, necessitating a phone call to the hotel reception. We were directed to drive over what appears to be a pedestrian footbridge which has a large ‘No Entry’ sign, but if look carefully, underneath is a very small sign saying ‘except for access to the hotel’, which we hadn’t previously noticed. Once in the hotel grounds parking is easy and the hotel is set in lovely surroundings. On entering the hotel we were greeted by the hotel receptionist (Patricia) who immediately made us feel extremely welcome. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. Our room was superb, and our balcony overlooked a green space and trees at the front of the hotel. The bed was comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean and breakfast was delicious. All the staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and courteous. In fact something I really appreciated was the attention to detail, for example the staff noticed from my check-in details that my birthday fell during our stay there. Neither my wife or I had said a word so it was a complete surprise on the morning of my birthday they gave me with a slice of cake with a candle. The hotel is also centrally located so you can easily walk to explore the town and visit the castle etc. We very much enjoyed our stay here and we will definitely stay here again when we visit Tomar.
