This apartment is located right in the middle of the block providing a location that is no more than a minutes walk from the businesses of Front St. Five contemporary galleries, TipTop (WV's best Coffeeshop), and the famed Purple Fiddle music venue are all right out the door. The space is simple, functional, thoughtful, clean and carefully decorated from our own art spaces, Bloom and Creature in Thomas (in the same building!).

Mini-moon in Thomas

We are fairly local to the area (about an hour away or so), and have visited Davis and Blackwater Falls numerous times, but never spent any time in Thomas other than the 4th fireworks. We arrived Thursday night after our elopement ceremony that evening, and were amazed by how cool the apartment is. We knew it was in the building of an art gallery, but the decor and atmosphere of the apartment made us feel almost like we were staying in the gallery itself. Everything from walking up the alley and up and around the neighboring apartments was a cool experience that had us feeling like we were so much farther away from home than we actually were. Being able to walk down to the Purple Fiddle and take in a show both Friday and Saturday night, and then just walk back to the apartment was exactly what we hoped it would be. It was also nice to be central and so close to Davis, Blackwater Falls, and Canaan. We highly recommend checking out all of the local waterfalls (especially Douglas falls), and the trails at Canaan Valley Resort State Park. Our host Alison was very responsive, even when we panicked and thought we locked ourselves out. Sorry about that again. We are very happy with our stay and we hope to come back again sometime soon! Thanks!
