I really liked this hotel for its location. It is not a new hotel but looks elegant and has nice high ceilings. The room was very clean.

Great value and location.

Hotel Minerva is in a very handy location, just off the main road Egnatia. It is close to cafes & the parks along the ocean and the airport bus stops nearby. Although I arrived much earlier than check in time, I was warmly greeted and shown to my room. I appreciated having a lift/elevator. I was given clean towels and shower gel daily. There was an issue with the toilet system - the hotel is grand but old and has plumbing issues.

We arrived at the hotel after 4pm. The receptionist first told us we had booked a twin room for one night she then told us she did not have any booking for us. We explained that we had booked through Expedia and showed her the confirmation on my phone however she said she needed a reference number. Another woman then arrived and found the booking! The room was not ready and there were a lot of young people running up and down the stairs and through the corridors. When are room was ready we noticed that although the bed was a large bed there were two single duvets instead of a double. Both the bed linen and towels were old and worn. On Wednesday and Thursday nights a large group of young people ran up and down the corridors knocking on doors and shouting to one another until after 2am. Aside from breakfast there were no other facilities available st the hotel

Additional Towel?

Generally very good, the female reception staff could not have done more to look after me, however there was male worker who on two occassions was on the computer and did not raise his head while I stood at the reception desk, as a result I needed to request an additional towel in the evening, there had only been one supplied in my room, he asked me why I needed an additional towel As the room was single occupancy, I had never been insulated in such a way before, I asked him to give me his name, his attitude changed immediately and he delivered a towel to my room within 5 minutes

Worst hotel ever

It was very bad. The furnitures & The bathroom was very old & durty. Breakfast was rubbish. Last we where hearing the noises from other rooms, noises that wont let you sleep. First and last time we visit it. It is absolutly not 4 stars. It should be checked buy the authorities and be re-ranked.

Location: + Central; - very noisy, couldn't sleep for longer than 4 or 5 hours Breakfast: ate only once out of 5 nights that I spent there. The food is very oily , the only healthy option is apple, cucumber and tomato. Room: very outdated. had 2 mini fridges (of which one wasn't working.. so why to keep it there ? it's not a storage! 4* ?? Really?). Blanket were full of black long hair !!! disgusting !!! 4* ??? Bathroom was 1.5 miters on 1.5 miters. I couldn't even open the shower doors, because from one side I had sink and from another I had toilet! I don't know how in Greece they get stars , but it hardly a 3* At some point I wanted to go to another hotel. I would suggest to choose 3* but more modern P.S. the pictures on the website doesn't look anything similar to the reality of the hotel! (maybe they were taken when it opened)

Unique Experience

I recently stayed here for a night and was pleased with my experience. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. This is a nice hotel, and used to be a really nice hotel... Everything is a bit outdated, but still comfortable. You definitely get more of a antique feel here. The breakfast is good. I need be, I would stay here again.

Hotel in a VERY LOUD street

Facility and staff is fine, but the next door cafe (club) which blasts very loud music until 5am is the reason to avoid this place next time. TV did not work. WiFi was spotty and unreliable. Safe was locked?! Accessibility is bad...you have to deal with one way streets and dead ends around it, so good luck. No hotel parking. A parking is available 10 min walk away.
