Beautiful location in the Amazon! Grounds were beautiful, room was big, clean with a nice balcony and AC if needed, staff were very friendly, they were very accommodating with our needs, excursions were great! Would definitely recommend this lodge and would stay here again in the future!

Disliked: Cleanliness, room comfort
There were some bugs in the room
Also the toilet situation is not convenient at all. There is no sink to wash your hands in the toilet room. You have to go around the room to find a sink… the water in the pool is cold.. and the private road to the hotel is horrible
I wouldn’t go back
The ladies in the kitchen were very nice and breakfast was good too
50 acres of native Amazonian rainforest and a small lodge that is very lovingly tended to. Fantastic food and extremely friendly people. You must try the cocktail made with a native plant that was called something like araza. This was our best experience in a four week trip throughout Ecuador

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
In the middle of the jungle. Show doors can open to be emersed in the jungle. Breakfast was fantastic, lots of options and dinners were reasonably priced. We had a 2 bedroom suit which was very expensive. The grounds are amazing. Unforgetable experience. Friendly and accomodating staff.
Absolutely fantastical, a real life Amazonian Rive
I would never have believed that an upscale hotel so elegant could coexist so harmoniously with the wild jungle. This place exceeded my most lofty expectations. The property is so remote, and the structures and amenities so dispersed about the property, that you truly feel as if you're in a jungle village rather than a resort. The food is wonderful and accommodating to all palates. The staff are genuinely pleasant and happy. Each of the manmade structures such as the pool, spa, bar/restaurant/lobby, and individual guest dwellings are unobtrusive to the jungle around them, peacefully intermingling. It's almost as if this place has been there so long that the jungle bloomed around it.
I honestly felt at times as if I was living in a fantasy, a science fiction novel turned reality. There truly are no words that can justifiably honor this place, but it was perfect. THANK YOU to the staff, and to the visionaries who conceived of and built this place. I did a substantial amount of research on dozens of lodging options across hundred of square miles hoping to find the ideal place...and I did. This is no ordinary resort. It is special beyond imagination.
Very nice accommodations tucked away five minutes off the road right in the middle of the jungle It felt more distant than the five minute drive to the property, which was a good thing we would stay there again
A wonderful experience all the way. From the moment you arrive you are greeted with amazing service. The breakfast is all home made from a local farm. The lodges are really beautiful. It's rustic and your in the middle of a rain forest. I can't remember sleeping so well as hearing the rain against the foliage and the birds, frogs and other creatures making beautiful noises all through the night. The owner is really sweet and caring. Stay here you won't be disappointed.
The property was located 5 minutes in the jungle. Very secluded and the views were stunning. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to get away and disconnect from reality. They have animals on site so beware… nothing crazy, just expect to see some fury friends. The rooms were nice and well maintained.
We spent two nights at Hamadryade Lodge and it has been one of the favorite parts of our two weeks trip in Ecuador. The lodge is perfect, in an absolutely gorgeous (and extensive) garden. Lovely swimming pool surrounded by a luxuriant nature. Also to mention a great recommendation to discover the rio Napo on the boat of Rodrigo Avilez.
A very expensive experience, $156 per night for 2 person in Ecuador, close to Tena. We planed this for our 10th anniversary. What a terrible experience. This place offered nothing. Nothing planned for the guest and unable to find an English tour guide.
Same breakfast every day. A Pilsener beer, normally $1.50 was $6.00. Expensive dinner ($30 for 2 person) in Ecuador. Cuisine claims french cuisine. Far from it. I have been in France and know the difference. Large plate do not make it French.
No fridge in the room. Extremely uncomfortable mattresses. Room was not clean. Mosquitos and other critters around the floor, even a live cockroach.
Was alone at the lodge for 4 nights. Unable to lock the doors, must be repaired first. One day no room service, nothing was cleaned. Terrible old towels. Hot shower was good.
This place had his glory about 15 years ago. Now the place is for sale. The road to this lodge is terrifying. Very difficult to get there without a 4x4, truck or SUV.
