It was nice but could’ve turned the heating on an hour before we arrived. It was freezing in there and took a few hours to warm up. Could have more utensils as well and things like oil and some salt and pepper.

That it was across the road from the lake. We were however next door to a group of Chinese visitors who were laughing loudly and carrying on at 11pm, oblivious to the signs that says to be mindful of neighbor wanting to get some sleep. The after hours person in charge of the desk was very helpful! Came all the way from where he lived at 9 pm to assist us with some power cords as the only power outlet is across the room from the headboard of the bed, where I needed power for my CPAP (breathing) machine.

A metal cabin on a campsite. Not what we expected from the booking. Well heated, and equipped for a short stop. Hair in the shower, otherwise clean. Dated furnishings but clean, fresh linen. Convenient for day trips to Doubtful Sound and the Glow Worm Caves.

We didn’t realise this is much more a backpackers 2 bedroom cabin, very much for sheltering for the night, could hear the neighbouring hickers easily through the walls. Would have been fine if I was 21 but I’m 51.

Situated very close to the lake, and just on the edge of the town, made for quite a tranquil stay. The chalets very basic and small inside. The interior was very tired. This was fine for our short stay, as we really just needed a bed for the night. However, I would have not enjoyed staying for a week or longer. On the positives, the bed was very comfortable. The chalet had enough basic amenities - fridge, 2 plate hob, microwave, basic utensils etc. The local communal laundry and cooking areas were great. In short it was functional and inexpensive so can't really complain, but you would be disappointed if your were looking for glamping.
