Nice but..

The check out was partially ok, the gay was helpful bat didn't mention the hotel has service only during the day. We came back to the room later, the remote control for the air con was missing and the room was freezing. so I had to look for someone/call the hotel reservations service in order to turn off the air con. There is no lobby or communal areas on this hotel. The room is nice but cod have been so much better. I'm not sure this qualify as a 4 star hotel.. The tv was not working due to some provider problem.

Castle of surprises

The hotel is located 450 meters from Liberty Square. On the front, there is almost no sign that this is a hotel. The hotel has no elevator and is 3 stories high. The problem is that the stairs are very unmatched and do not conform to the basic rules of human engineering. In addition, in almost every transition from one space to another, there is a tricky block that can easily be stumbled upon. The room is very small and uncomfortable in terms of tourist needs, no closet no room to put a suitcase, no where to put the bathroom accessories. The hotel purports to be called a boutique hotel. This is not a boutique hotel. Although it is only 14 rooms, the rooms are the same in design and facilities. The vintage style, for the Jenner lovers. There are a number of rooms with exit to the common terrace for all hotel guests. Very nice, basic place and not always everything functions there like heating for winter days. Hot water in the shower wasn't obvious either. The big surprise is the special dining room and the meal served there. I won't elaborate, to leave a surprise on anyone who decides to visit the hotel but I can say it's just wonderful. We received a lot of sympathy and goodwill from the hotel staff, but were not always able to deal with the problem. The stay was pleasant but certainly did not justify the price we paid, relative to other hotels in the area. In my opinion, the hotel is suitable for people who are not too old, who are able to enjoy the commune. It is not recomm

Home away from home

Lovely hotel with a mansion like ambience. Overall loved the stay. Location was good too. Not too central to the hustle bustle of the market area but not too far either. We were made to feel at home. However would prefer if there was someone at the service desk 24/7 Incase of any emergencies or assistance.

Charming boutique hotel

The hotel is slightly off the beaten track - which is not a bad thing - but it's within walking distance of Freedom Square and has a very authentic feel. It is tastefully decorated and finished to a high standard. The staff are exceptionally kind and helpful and the breakfast is delicious. I will certainly stay there again when I next visit Tbilisi.

A little gem in The old town of Tbilisi

We are very pleased to have stayed in Communal, rather than a bigger hotel. The hotel is situated up the hill in the old town, but the 8-min walk to the city centre is very pleasant: Yiu can see lots of old buildings with local architectural style. There are also lots of good restaurants in the areas. The hotel feels more like a home than a hotel. The home feel is everywhere, from the entrance to the common area, from the room design to the furnishings. I love the idea of having books near the entrance and in the common area. That gives the place a highly cultured feel. Everything in the room is of a high quality. The lights in our balcony room come in all sorts of design, which we admire a lot. The staff of the hotel work hard to make this new hotel work well. Sophie was especially helpful. She checked us in at 1:30 am, emailed us the list of places to eat an drink and answer all our enquiries with patience. The daily breakfast bag was a nice touch and we enjoyed the yuhurt a lot. There was also a laundry service, which Sophie kind,y didn’t charge us. We would like to thank the Communal Team, Sophie in particular, for making our stay memorable and comfortable.
