Review: Renter BewareWish I could review this property; however due to the fact that although we fully paid for this stay , we never saw the property. Approximately a month before our stay, I emailed the property owner/host to ask a couple of questions prior to our trip. No response…that should have been my first clue to the debacle that was to come.We were suppose to receive the code to enter the property 3 days prior to our stay. Still no response. The day of our arrival we emailed the host and called VRBO and informed them of our dilemma and concern. We foolishly held out hope until after our check in time that we would hear from the host,but that did not happen. VRBO also tried to contact the host, but they were also unable to reach him. This forced us to scramble and try and get accommodation at the last moment. Of course we could not find accommodation at that late date, and we had to make arrangements with a hotel miles away from where we wanted to be. Later that evening we finally get a phone call from the host saying that his phone had died. I’m sorry folks, but that is a response that I would expect from a teenager. Did his phone die a month earlier when I first messaged him?? A responsible human with a property listed on VRBO should not be without a way to communicate with his customers. The best description I can use for this host is unprofessional, immature, and lazy. Perhaps he had a nice property, but we will never know.
