We had a lovely stay at the batch. The place was spacious, very clean, and the spa was a real highlight — perfect for relaxing. There was a small issue with the pantry hinges, but communication with the host was quick, friendly, and effective, which we really appreciated. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and we’d happily recommend it to others.

Lovely property that was perfect for 2 families. Has everything you need and was warm even on cold winter nights. Directly across the road from the beach, and a 10min walk to the local parkrun, and excellent coffee shops. Very handy location and quiet. Great having a spa pool too! Toni was very quick to respond to our questions.

Perfect spot

We were a multigenerational family up in Papamoa for a family wedding. Location was perfect- just a 12 Uber to the surf club where the wedding was. Teenagers loved the closeness to the beach, having the boogie boards was an added bonus and saved us having to pack them. Have all the linen available was perfect as we also didn’t have to carry sheets etc with us. The couches were super comfortable for everyone- good sized kitchen and dining and the bedroom/bed layout was perfect for us. A second toilet would have been a bonus but not needed. Spa pool was perfect for the evening times. An outside shower to get all the sand off us would be good, but we just used the hose to get sand off, though some always managed to stay on us! Would love to stay here again- anytime of the year as well. Thanks

The perfect getaway

The Salty Shack was a perfect getaway with a large group. The place had a variety of spaces to relax (multiple reclining chairs and a huge TV!) and directly across the road from the beach for an early sunrise visit. Toni responded to my messages promptly everytime. Would highly recommend anyone staying here!!
