Overall, we were very satisfied with the accommodations. The house and property were clean, cool, and comfortable. This next first mention was not a problem for us, but the owner of the property frequents the side garage just about every day we stayed for the week and has a 34' boat parked in that driveway. This did not really intrude on us but for some it might feel a little awkward. We did meet the owners for a brief moment and they seemed quite nice. But that is part of the (VRB Owner) experience that you may run across sometimes but not often. The house is located across from the back of a large hotel with a wall but again for us that was not a problem and could even be seen as a plus with no neighbors across from the house. The street was generally nice with nice homes with the exception of a couple that were hokey but hey I don't live there and for a week we did not have any issues. Oldsmar seems to be an area with old homes mixed with newer ones, so you probably get the idea. It was centrally located for our needs of visiting family and going to the beach and other activities. One word of advice is when venturing out in a car no matter what your GPS says you may not want to get to Tampa Rd by way of Burbank Rd as it is a busy intersection with a stop sign and can take a while to get out into traffic. I would recommend when leaving the house head towards State St E. to St Petersburg Dr E as there is a streetlight to get out of the neighborhood to Tampa Rd. Safer option.

Robin's Egg Getaway

My husband, parents, and I stayed in Oldsmar to visit family. This house is located in a quiet neighborhood one block off Tampa Rd., within walking distance of several restaurants and sports bars. Shopping (Walmart, Aldi, Publix, Marshalls) is just a couple of miles away. While minimalist, the house is well-maintained and the kitchen and baths are nicely updated. The owner was immediately responsive when the wifi went out during a storm and he kept us informed on provider status. Use of the garage for parking was very much appreciated, given the daily afternoon storms that the Tampa Bay area is known for. There are two municipal parks within a mile of the house, and we had no safety concerns during our early morning and evening walks.

Oldsmar Rental

We were able to secure this rental on very short notice due to an unexpected family funeral. Gary & His wife were amazing and we certainly recommend his property. It is in a great location and walkable to many restaurants, shopping and coffee shops. The property was clean and well laid out, we had 5 adults and never tripped over each other. Internet was always up and fast, no issues. Kitchen was very well stocked Personally we thank Gary & His wife for their kindness and they even took the time to leave us a card, which was an amazing touch. Other family members had similar rentals and all agreed we secured the best one.

Wonderful house.

Excellent house, seems brand new, everything works good, including wi-fi. Super nice hosts, will give you suggestions where to go and what to see. Quiet street in quiet neighborhood , but close enough to main streets to get you wherever you want to go. Close to a nice Publix for grocery shopping. Would definitely stay here again.

Clean, quiet, convenient

I reserved this house due to its proximity to Odessa, where part of our group was competing at a trapshooting event. It's an easy 20 minute drive to the Silver Dollar Shooters Club. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, just one street behind a major street in Oldsmar. While there are no beaches within walking distance, we really enjoyed Mobley Bay Park, which is about a 2-3 mile drive. It's a small, quiet beach on Tampa Bay, perfect for tanning or a picnic. We also visited Honeymoon Island State Park, about 30 minutes away. It was pretty cold still, but beautiful and lots of beach and walking trails. Busch Gardens is also within 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Be sure to stop at Ice Cream Theory, which is within walking distance of the house (just cut through the hotel parking lot on the street in front of the house). The gelato is delicious! We had a great stay and would stay here again.

Comfortable and relaxing

The house was exactly as advertised. It's located near several commercial centers with some decent restaurants; walk south to the various waterfront parks of Oldsmar. TV channel selection was minimal, as advertised, but the wifi was fast and solid, so streaming from our own devices was no problem. The area was quiet; the house was clean, beds were comfortable, and ability to park in the garage a plus. The host was communicative. A solid 5-star property.

Great location and newer home

We had a great time in Tampa. The house is in Oldsmar and it's about 10 minutes to any amenities we needed. It's also in a super quiet neighborhood. Everything was cleaned as expect ed and we had chance to talk with the host, Gary, who liked to work in his workshop in the backyard.

Home away from Home

This was a very nice house not enough channels on the TV espically when you have 2 children both special needs that like their cartoons, plenty of shopping the only thing I would say is that the drive to the beach was a bit long we are used to either being on the beach or close by it and the weather was not in our favor we had alot of rain. And I would recommend checking everything in the home and if something is not working correctly I would contact the owner so that he is aware. Other than what I wrote It was a nice stay.
