Do NOT book unless you want to have nowhere to stay

We didn’t get to stay….host canceled on us last minute. We had been booked for over a month, confirmed with address and key code entry. Had already flown in from out of state. Looked back at messages to punch address into GPS and saw he had canceled our reservations stating “dates no longer available.” Then, he would not respond to any other messages

Neighborhood wasn't the best, Neighbors smoke a lot weed/marijuana, and the ac unit pulled it into the building. Oven didn't work, manager was very slow to answer messages. Yard was a wreck, never cleaned up after storm. no toaster or can opener.

What a dump

Could not check in on time. Then arrived and found blood of sheets, no AC that worked, tree growing out of wall, dirty fridge and someone else’s credit card. Contacted renter and offered to let us stay half hour away further inland at a place that looked worse and bad neighborhood until he could get it cleaned. We declined. Owner stated he would refund cost and never did. 5 months later and still going back and forth about refund status. VRBO terrible customer service and DO NOT rent this property. We now live in Florida and it is located in the worst neighborhood, and this owner is a slum lord. Disgusting.

Pictures depicted property correctly by didn’t realize there was no place to watch tv other than in bed. Asked for more wash cloths when we arrived but never were delivered. Property was clean and well kept. Older neighborhood. It was ok for what we needed.

When we found the place we couldnt believe the price. We jumped on it and found out why. The neighborhood is up and coming so is a little iffy, especially if you come in at night and are not familiar with area. It turns out neighborhood and neighbors are friendly. And the location was perfect for anywhere in Tampa. The condo was very pleasant. It was small, but very quiant. It had all the emmenities anyone could want. This is not a place you could sneak a third person in, as to how small it was. I will definately look into reserving this when we return next year.

Excellent

Excellent location, extremely convenient, very nice accommodation. Defintiey would return. This property is located in a DiVERSE, residential, family neighborhood. I saw children waving at me uniform walking home from school. Typical urban neighnorhood, anyone who felt uncomfortable or unsafe obviously isn’t used to that. BTW we absolutely loved the full kitchen for the price point.

GPS took me to a church and I texted the property manager after about 15 minutes standing in a random location with my weeks luggage I called him repeatedly over 3 hours he never responded to me once and I eventually had to get a refund and go to a hotel horrible person to deal with I suggest you go elsewhere this is a scam

Overall our stay at this VRBO was a good one. We needed a place to stay for two months while we were doing work in Tampa. Condo was clean and well maintained. The neighborhood however was not what we were expecting. I would not consider the neighborhood family friendly in the least. While we didn't feel unsafe, I'm not sure I would have booked this unit had I been familiar with the neighborhood and its surroundings. Owner was very easy to communicate with when problems arose and was quick to take action when we needed anything.

Stressful communicating

Host didn’t respond timely when I reached out letting him know the code wasn’t working to get into the house. I had to try a few times before he answered. The sheets were full of hair and so was the bathroom floor and even though the host DID provide me with a clean set of sheets. I had to reach out multiple times and insist on getting clean sheets.
