Casa MAAR, A luxury fully-serviced modern/balinese inspired house, is located within the exclusive ocean side resort community of Hacienda Pinilla in Costa Rica. It is it’s own slice of paradise.

The 2021 newly built Casa MAAR is a luxuriously designed home where the inside and outside living spaces really complement each other. It is the perfect entertainment home for families, couples or groups of friends.Take advantage of its gorgeous outdoor living area with its own beautiful palapa/gazebo beside the pool. Enjoy barbecuing, or relaxing in front of the outdoor TV or on the poolside lounge chairs while soaking up the scenery and the stunning Guanacaste trees.

With its fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, Wifi and Smart TV’s, every detail has been considered for you and your family. (Pre-stocking available upon request)

The main living area is filled with natural light and offers an open plan living/ dining area that can seat up to 13 people. There is a breakfast bar that can seat 4 people.

Master Suite
1 king bed, ensuite bathroom with an extra outdoor shower and private garden, double vanity, walk-in closet, internet enabled TV, blockout blinds.

1 king size bed and 1 trundle single bed, double vanity bathroom with an extra outdoor shower and private garden, ample closet and blockout blinds.

The Community
Casa MAAR is located inside Las Brisas at Hacienda Pinilla. Which is an exclusive Hacienda Style Resort surrounded by Costa Rica’s incomparable biodiversity.

Guests will be spoiled as you can choose from 4 different nearby beaches: Avellanas, Mansita, Bonita and Langosta. You’ll have access to a beach club, golf court with coastal layout, equestrian center, tennis courts, skateboard park, basketball court & kids playground.

The Beach Club
The beach club has an amazing restaurant, pool, gym and playground. You can either go surfing, relax by the pool or just enjoy the fabulous sunsets.
From Jan 1st, 2025 you will pay $5 per day and per person non consumable.
10 year old and below are free.

The Beach Club will be under maintenance from October 5-18, 2026.

The Surfing
Playa Avellanas, home of the Beach Club has 6 World-class surf breaks including Little Hawaii, the Estero, Dead Tree and Lola’s

The Golf Course
18 hole par 72 beachfront golf course. The beachfront hole has an awesome sunset view on a secluded beach.

The JW Marriott Hotel
Hacienda Pinilla is home of the JW Marriott Hotel. As a guest in Casa MAAR, you’ll have access to the Hotel’s numerous restaurants. You can also purchase a day pass which gives you access to all of the hotel’s grounds and amenities.
Playa Mansita & Bonita (home of the JW Marriott Hotel) offer great tide pools on the lower tides.

The Tennis Courts
Two hard court tennis courts with an onsite instructor (Sylvain), private, semi-private and group lessons are available. Kids camps and pickleball events are regular activities.

The Mountain Bike Trails
With over 45 kilometers of trails throughout the ranch, forest and coastline, Hacienda Pinilla is a great location for mountain biking. With natural scenic routes and rigorous trails for every type of bike rider. The mountain trails offer adventure, challenge and enjoyment for families, first timers and experts.

Awesome place and trip

The house is awesome, perfect for our family of 4. Beautiful lay out and outdoor space. Perfectly located for all activities. The pool area was enjoyed by all. The pool folks cleaned most days. The property managers (Vanessa and Audrey) are absolutely amazing, super helpful and responsive. Very safe with 2 different gates with guards to get into the community where the house was. Beach Club was great to have access for - the beach is great for learning to surf. There are also quite of bit of restaurants near the house if you don't want to go to Tamarindo. The house, experience, country and the whole process was 5 stars - would love to come back and enjoy.

Great place to stay in Costa Rica

The house was extremely nice and included a great pool and outdoor shelter. The neighborhood was wonderful and there were 2 security gates to get to our place so we felt very safe. The property hosts were engaged and helpful. Could not have been better!

Wow - Amazing House!

What an amazing stay! From the great communication right after booking and every detail seemingly accounted for along the way I can’t recommend this house more! The house was better than we imagined! Super clean, and super thoughtful in all the little things that make you feel at home - I felt like I was at home in my own kitchen! Would highly recommend this his to anyone considering. Our family of six enjoyed it so much, and would have easily accommodated two families comfortably traveling together. Trust me, if on the fence, book this and start getting excited - you’ll be happy you did!

Amazing Home even more amazing host

The property was just as described; however, what I didn't understand is that the host is you own private concierge. Vanessa was incredible before the trip with planning all our excursions and dinner reservations. Set up transportation for my parents and monitored them through the entire trip from airport to the house. She took care of our chefs and communicated with all of them along side of us to ensure continuity. We've stayed at very exclusive reports in the past and Vanessa puts them all to shame in terms of service. The location was perfect, close to all surfing beaches. Couldn't ask for more.

Beautiful house and property! Great for family and friends! Vanessa and the property care teams were great! Beautiful and safe community! Easy golf cart or car ride to beach club/restaurant. Easy car ride to Tamarindo (20 minutes). Uber was a little challenging but can work. Overall such an amazing place to stay, relax and enjoy time together! We will be back!

AMAZING!

We just returned home yesterday and are already missing this beautiful house and country so much. We had the most wonderful stay at Casa Maar. Our hostess, Vanessa, was absolutely wonderful in helping us plan our trip, excursions, setting up transportation, and being available at all hours. She really went above and beyond for us. Two families of five stayed at the house and it accommodated us so well. We had plenty of space and everything that we needed at our fingertips. The Hacienda Pinilla community is beautiful and we enjoyed taking the golf carts we rented to the Beach Club. The kids loved playing soccer on the green spaces and playgrounds. We saw monkeys, parrots, foxes, and iguanas. It was a quick drive to Canopy Pinilla, Lola’s, and the JW Marriott’s restaurants. Tamarindo wasn’t too far of a drive, either. Overall, we had an amazing experience and hope to return in the future!

Fabulous home in fantastic location

This home is beautiful! The rooms are wonderful. The outdoor showers are really nice. The outside living area is fantastic. The pool was refreshing and clean. The kitchen is huge and well-equipped. It's in a safe development. Great location for day trips. We can't say enough good things about it. The property manager was incredibly nice and helpful. We would definitely rent this home again.

Amazing stay

The home was beautiful and had everything we needed for a comfortable vacation. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of cooking and serving ware for our large group of 9 people. The bathroom had fresh towels and there were also pool towels. The outdoor and indoor shower options within the same bathrooms were a luxury. Everything was clean and the beds were super comfortable. There is a room with 4 queen bunk beds and the girls actually enjoyed them because of the high ceilings. Overall aesthetics of the house were beautiful and cozy with a great entertainment space. From booking the trip months in advance to the week of our trip, Vanessa answered all our questions and even helped arrange transportation, excursions, and covid tests in advance. I really appreciated her hospitality, responsiveness, and recommendations. It helped make this bachelorette trip a complete success! I would definitely come back next time I am in Guanacaste. Keep in mind that the house is surrounded my nature and we did have some friendly gecko and frog neighbors. We surely embraced it. Also the hacienda pinilla community is pretty large so I’d recommend renting a car/golf carts or relying on a chauffeur. 10/10
