Unfortunately, while this property itself was beautiful for the retreat we were hosting, the misleading sleeping arrangements, inadequate kitchen facilities and the lack of response and support from the property owner left us really disappointed. The bedrooms with double sofa beds actually only have couches (one very old) that don’t pull out at all. This meant we were sold two rooms with two separate beds and then had to ask our guests who were sharing a room to also share a bed. The one sofa bed in the open loft had a terrible mattress that no one could sleep on. We told the property owner ahead of time that we’d hired a private chef for our weekend. Out of the 4 stove burners, only 1 worked initially. One of the ovens overheated to dangerous levels, even when set to low. The 2nd oven took 1.5 hrs to preheat. The kitchen bakeware provided either didn’t fit in the oven or it wasn’t oven safe and ended up smoking and setting off the smoke detectors. There were no instructions on how to use the kitchen appliances or what to do in the event of the smoke detectors going off. The large coffee carafe didn’t work so we had to make coffee for 10 people using two small coffee machines. We were also charged extra tax and got no response from the owner when we reached out to ask why. Also no responses after our stay to address the issues we encountered or to update the listing to accurately reflect the property and appliances.
