Golf Cart, 2 bed 2 Bath, Heated Pool

Summary:

The Chunky Mermaid is new with tasteful decorations to pull the space together. Big 75" TV, big double queen guest room, and king sized master bedroom. The Chunky Mermaid is the perfect beach house to get your toes in the water in minutes, the perfect beach community to walk to local cuisine, with the perfect creature comforts of home. The space is built for families/groups that want to have fun together with epic sunsets perfect for sun downers.

The Space:

I designed this space to be comfortable, relaxing, and spacious for groups of up to 6 people. The photos are exact, the furnishing are new and comfy, and the balcony views are best right after an afternoon shower. All the interior was redone in 2023, all the furniture is new in 2023, even the pool was just completed and new in 2023!

This booking is for the first floor unit of the duplex. The property has large comfortable beds only! I have stayed too many times cramped in a bed smaller than a queen and I want guests to sleep well after a sun and fun-filled day.

The kitchen is packed full of any cooking item you need, with larger pots/pans to easily create a larger meal for all hungry guests. Oh the garage!!! It's huge - on your side you'll be able to park 2 cars (plus one in the driveway) and still have room for bikes, toys, and anything else you want to bring. Plus in the garage there's a beach cart, beach chairs, and even an extra full fridge to stock with drinks during your stay.

Then there's the BEACH! It's a block away to get into the lagoon like water. The Gulf usually has gentle waves perfect for kids to play in, sugar white soft sand, and it's never too crowded to find a spot to enjoy for the day.

Do you click to get the Golf Cart? It's a 6 seater Lithium cart available for a small daily fee. Makes the run to Kooky Coconut for some Capitain Butterscotch with the group so much fun. It even has ground effect lights and a stereo to cruise in more style then everyone else. Safely parked in the garage for easy access, charging, and staying clean

The Pool is shared with a few units so I had the decking and the pool overbuilt to provide plenty of personal space to enjoy the secluded oasis.

The Neighborhood:

THE BEST - I have been vacationing to beaches since I was 5 years old. I can tell you that after spending weeks and weeks of my life at the beach; Indian Rocks Beach is the best I've found. After 35 years of traveling to beaches I picked IRB and finally bought a beach home for our family to enjoy for years to come. Easy smooth warm beach swimming, fun unique dining, lots and lots to do all over - get here as soon as you can to experience it yourself........

Getting Around:

FEET FIRST - your toes will be in the gulf in under a two minute walk. Plus you can walk to the inter-coastal side in the same time. Your feet can get you to a gas stations for extra ice/beverages in two minutes as well. Hungry? There are several restaurants within a two minute walk also.

Other Things to Note:

I have the beach items handled. 6 beach towels are in the closet in the guest bathroom. Plus theres a beach cart in the garage and 6 beach chairs.

We are a family of 6 and will not tolerate disrespectful behavior of any kind. We spend several weeks a year at our property and expect guests to treat our space with integrity.

THERE IS NO SMOKING OR VAPING AT ALL

NO PETS ARE ALLOWED

If you are smoking in the space or bring a pet, you will be asked to leave immediately

We loved the location to the beach as well as the access to baby equipment (pack&play, high chair, baby float for pool, etc). The unit was very clean and we can’t wait to visit again.

Wonderful and comfortable stay

We loved our stay here. The condo was exactly as described. It was welcoming and comfortable! The location was great-a short walk to the beach and restaurants. The golf cart was fun, and we used it a few times to get to local restaurants. We also enjoyed the pool-it was a nice alternative when we didn’t want to return to the beach. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back!

An amazing find for a beach getaway!

This property is amazing for a beach getaway! The owner/host is so kind, helpful, and communicative. The house itself had everything we needed like towels and beach chairs for the beach. It truly was like staying in our own personal house with how it was furnished. It’s just across the street from the beach and the pool was a great amenity when we were tired of the beach. Will recommend this property to everyone!

This property was awesome! Everything was exactly as described on the VRBO site including the photos. All areas were clean upon arrival. The pool was a great addition and we used it almost everyday or evening. There isn't a railing so guests just need to be aware of that if anyone has balance issues when getting out of the pool.Beach access is across the street which was convenient when wanting to go and watch the sunset. This was our first stay in the month of March so the entire beach area was busier then normal. We opted not to use the golf cart that was included which was fine as we ended up not wanting to use it to go anywhere. We could either walk to restaurants or stores that were close by.There were no bug issues either in this unit, not even a spider which is usually common anytime in FL.We love this property and will be checking to see if its available for our next trip.

Family Get Away

We rented both units for a great family get away. The Chunky Mermaid is as lovely as shown in the photos and is well equipped for a week’s stay. The location to the beach and local stores was perfect. The pool area is very spacious and everything you need to enjoy the pool and beach is provided in the garage. In addition to the two units on the property, the pool is also shared with the 2 neighboring units which are also Caleb’s. Caleb was very responsive to our questions. We would return in the future.

The chunky mermaid

Property is great you can tell they put lots of heart and soul into providing what guests need even had small shampoos , blow dryer etc. it was spotless! There is even an elevator from ground level. the pool is beautiful. We were in bottom apt so a little noisy from guests foot steps upstairs. Our host Caleb was most informative ! Not ocean front but 1 block from beach access but was very nice and quiet since not on main road. Walkable to restaurants , great location.

Practically Perfect!

Except for the fact that VRBO didn't get us our check in information things were great. That was corrected quickly and easily with a call to our host. Caleb has put a lot of thought into guest comfort. Almost everything we needed was in the condo. We were less than a block from the awesome Indian Rocks Beach. Also less than a block from the awesome Cafe de Paris. This place is the real deal. Also highly recommend going down beach just a bit to Guppy's. Yum.

Great Dtay

This find was a rare unknown. Located centrally to all areas of our trip plans made it that much more easier! Caleb was a great host and communicated very well with before and after directions for check in and check out. The condo is beautifully decorated and so much so my husband took pictures so we can pursue the theme in our own home. Convenience of the washer and dryer now we nice. The bedrooms were more than we expected and huge..I didn't realize that the one room has two queen beds. One other thing to note is that you are block walk to one of the best bars Cocos Crush Bar and Grill which makes a great night out!

Hidden Gem - Almost Perfect

Nice place and a great location for families. Clean, Comfy beds, and generally well maintained. 2 min walk to the beach. Easy to get around. Enjoyed the pool at the end of the day and the golf cart for a quick trip or two to get ice cream. Noise from second floor neighbors was a challenge once or twice at night, but not terrible. Noise machines provided helped. Beach supplies could use updating, which is pretty common. Plenty of services available to rent supplies or buy. The provided cooler was a lifesaver. Thank you. Would recommend and rent again.
