STAY IN OUR SPACIOUS AND TASTEFULLY DECORATED GOLF-COURSE VILLA, LOCATED ON THE INTRA-COASTAL WATERWAY, AND ONLY MINUTES FROM THE ATLANTIC OCEAN!

Centrally located in the gated golf course community of St. James Plantation, our ground-floor villa features hardwood flooring, crown molding, and wi-fi throughout. The full-size kitchen has been updated with granite countertops, and crisp-white, room-brightening appliances. The living room features a sofa, loveseat, and 50" TV. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed, chest, dresser, TV, night-stands, and a large walk-thru closet, that leads to the full-size master bathroom. The laundry room is fully equipped with washer and dryer. The guest suite includes 2 queen-size beds, kitchenette with granite countertops, mini-fridge, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, TV, and a full-size bathroom. The screened-in patio features a wicker table and chairs.

Situated on the 2nd fairway of the Hale Erwin Signature course, the villa offers extensive views of the green from nearly every room, as well as the patio. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning while watching over the fairway. St. James Plantation is the home of four Championship courses, designed by legends Nicklaus Design, P.B. Dye, Hale Erwin, and Tim Cate, featuring 81-holes of golfing perfection. (Personal membership required)

Later in the afternoon, you might enjoy an outing at one of the plantation's large scenic parks, or take advantage of the miles of lush walking and biking trails. Go for a swim at the club pool within walking distance from our villa, or take a short drive down to the Beach Club, "St. James By the Sea" located at nearby Oak Island. Pack a picnic and dine as you watch the sun set over the ocean. (Please note: The gated parking lots there are private and require a mounted RFID tag to open, however there are public beach access locations nearby. OKI parking fees may apply depending on season and time of day.)

If adventure is more your thing, why not head over to Oak Island and tour the lighthouse there, or take a magnificent ferry ride from Deep Point Marina over to Bald Head Island and climb the "Old Baldy" lighthouse for yourself. Enjoy breath-taking views of the entire island from the top! Or you can explore the island by foot, bicycle, or by golf cart, the uniquely standard methods of travel on the island.

If you prefer a more tranquil evening, take a stroll along the quaint shops of Historic Southport. Visit the Christmas House. Dine at the famous Provision Company or Fishy Fishy Café, which was featured in the Nicholas Sparks movie, "Safe Haven". Then grab an ice cream cone and relax on a swing along the shoreline of Southport Pier and Riverwalk, as you watch the ships go by.

The accommodation were ok. Large rooms. I did not read all the info on what I had to bring. There was no soap in either bathroom. This is the first VRBO I have stayed in that I needed to supply bar soap. The towels and sheets were quite thin. Cleanliness was an issue. One bathtub did not appear clean, the other bathroom still had a qtip on the floor and there was empty water bottle under the middle of the king size bed as well as a layer of dust. It appears they only clean the edges of either side of the bed.

Long Weekend

While the home was very nice overall, the rental experience was great, and served its purpose for our stay, but based on the experience I have had with several other rentals, the home was understocked in terms of basic supplies like paper towels, napkins, and trash bags. There was only one dish towel, there were no beach towels to go to the beach and there was only one towel set per person. I know I could have done laundry, but being there for only 3 nights and out all day, that did not fit into our schedule. I would definitely rent again, but would be more prepared next time. Thank you.

Oak Island golf community

Condo tucked back in a quiet golf community.Great location, once you’re out of the development, your only a few minutes to just about anything.The beach access was a huge bonus! We had never been to this beach area. Having a place to access the beach - even though it was public parking - made it so much easier.Condo was equipped with necessities.Having a washer & dryer is always a huge benefit for us when traveling!

Great condo for a relaxing vacation

This was a relaxing stay at this condo. Everything you could need was available. The second bedroom had its own kitchenette and bathroom. Washer/ dryer available. Especially enjoyed the screened porch overlooking the golf course. This would be a great condo for a family with 2 queen beds in the non-primary bedroom. Access to a pool and the beach club are additional amenities.

Nice quiet location

The property nice for our short stay. I will say there were no trash bags in the trash cans and no paper towels in the main kitchen. The towels in the bathrooms were white and had stains and very thin. Other than those times out stay was nice.

Great place at St James Plantation. We had three groups. Accommodations included Master b/r, 2 queen beds and a fold out couch. It also had a full kitchen, full size fridge, patio with ground floor.

Perfect Space for a Vacay!

Birthday trip for my 11 year old daughter was a hit! Host was incredibly responsive and accommodating. Space is perfect for flying travelers, close to the airport and with private beach club access a short drive away. Close to Southport and Oak Island shopping and dining!

This was the best condo I’ve stayed in in Saint James in a while. It was on ground level, no steps.

We had the best time enjoyed being together enjoy being at Oak Island Definitely want to return next year we love the area. We have stated there at Saint James before times and every time it’s wonderful beautiful place. Everyone is super helpful and nice. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.

Quiet and away from the fray!

Saint James Plantation Villa was the perfect spot for a relaxing few days. We were within easy driving distance to the beach in Oak Island and shopping and dining in Southport. The view from the condo is overlooking the golf course, and we were close to the Villa pool. The owner has taken great care to ensure that there is everything needed in the condo, and has tastefully decorated the space.

Great Time!

Went to the St James to visit a resident with a golf friend. The place was very convenient and nice. The only thing we didn’t understand was the cleaning fee. We had to strip the beds, start the laundry with the towels, take out the trash. So why was there an extra cleaning charge? Granted, we were hardly there except to sleep, but really? Why the cleaning fee on top of the rental? That should more than cover the cleaning

Great location - felt like home!

We came to North Carolina to celebrate my daughter's 40th birthday. We had a variety of ages in the group and this place accommodated our needs. The place was clean and the beds were great. Parking was great and the best part was the beach club next to the ocean. When we got tired of being in the sand, we could just walk a short distance and be in the pool where there was a clean changing room and showers. Shops and restaurants were close by. Everyone had a great time. I highly recommend staying here.

Relaxing vacation

The condo was wonderful and very clean. The owner was responsive and inviting. My only issues were beyond her control. The small pool area and gated entrance were annoying but hard to fuss about since everyone was so nice. Strongly recommend.
