Had a Great Week

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an enjoyable time. This is an older property but it was very clean. The bathrooms are a little small but adequate. The kitchen is updated and immaculate. Beach access is about a 5 minute walk. The price is just about unbeatable for what you get.

Great spot for a beach rental

We wanted a spot close to the beach to be four beach bums and this house fit the bill. A close walk to a nice beach and had an outdoor shower to clean up after. The two beds in the kids room were great as our kids had their own spots. Pans were in good shape for cooking. Had a great time.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location and on the parade route. My kids had a blast. The house is spacious and a little outdated. Loved the outdoor shower and used it every day. House was clean and had most essentials we needed.

We had a great stay. The place definitely needs some fixing up and updating, but overall was great, especially considering the price. We used it mainly for sleeping and having a few meals. The location is perfect, a block from the beach, right on the bike trail and the downtown is just a two minute bike ride or 10 minute walk.

Good view of the ocean from the porch. Only down fall, was the exterior of the house. It truly needs some TLC. It's a good house if you have a small group. If outside and property were nicer it would be a great little house.

Family getaway

Beautiful beaches with beautiful views. Have a range of boys one right under Two, a five year old and a 13 year old. All were very happy about the vacation. It struck well all across the board including my husband and I.

Clean and comfortable

It’s a cute little house a little over a block from the beach, and close to all the businesses on SGI. The only complaint is that the wifi was painfully slow at times and we had to rely on data for a lot of things. Otherwise a very nice stay!

Property was small would be ok for a couple maybe 4 but 6 is crowded. We had 6 (2children) and only 4 sets of towels and no sheets for the sofa bed. Overall it was ok we were at the beach so that was good part. It also dated but it was ok for 2 nights

Wallpaper is nasty throughout.kitchen cabinets are nasty and didn't even use anything there. Carpet is gross and sticky to your feet. Location of home is good and sheets were clean.

But no, this place is disgusting. Shame on the owners and Suncoast for allowing this place to be rented in deplorable condition! Broken/stained furniture, stained & peeling wallpaper, broken, dirty blinds, grime and nastiness...Rotten front door, no security, mice in the walls...rust in the dryer, I could go on and on.

Needs total makeover, furniture, etc. Kitchen needs new cookware/bakeware. Outdoor lights need bulbs replaced. Seal on doors broken - cannot even see out. Blinds broken. No place in kitchen for groceries. Grill cannot be used. Overall condition was very poor.

Reviewer Comments: Cleaning issues & dog next door (full time residents) right outside howled & cried off & on ALL night our first night there & into the next morning (midnight-5:30 am). You could tell prop had undergone typical cleaning-(counters, tub, toilets, sinks - great) but the unit had cnot had a DEEP clean for maybe years. Walls, blinds & entry door were in VERY bad shape and were filthy. There was a brown smear on the wall in the bathroom and big stains on the wallpaper from previous mildew perhaps. There was black mold/mildew along the entire top edge of the entry door. I cleaned that myself as it was so bad I didn't want to leave it. Poorly patched nail holes throughout unit. Wood deck-poor repair. Outdoor shower-mosquito haven as it lacked drainage. At 2 AM our first night, we called the emergency management number out of utter desperation about the howling/crying dog next door & were told to call sheriff. We did-Deputy said there was no noise ordinance in Franklin County so they couldn't do anything. I politely mentioned to the officer on the phone that the county website listed a noise ordinance but he said it was "no longer valid." I cited the number of the ordinance but he said again it was not valid. From the Franklin County website: (Sec. 4-34.- there IS a noise ordinance. We called the mgt company the next day and they said they would go by that house and try to talk to the neighbor and let us know how that went. We waited all day-(5pm) no one followed up so we called mgt # again. We were told no one had gone by to try to talk to the neighbor. No one ever checked in with us later either. For such huge problem, someone should have tried to go by & talk to the neighbor (as a gentleman promised he would do when we called) & followed up with us. We have rented MANY properties in the US & abroad and have never left a review like this-we are not complainers by nature. I am really amazed that this property is listed with any mgt. company.

The couch had lots of stains, the porch is not in great condition, the outdoor shower is not usable, the front door seems to be rotting, the shower was difficult for my tall husband to use. The kitchen seemed to have been recently updated and the beds were clean and comfy. For the price and location on a quick trip to the beach, it was fine for my family. I probably wouldn't stay again, though.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First Suncoast Vacation Rental staff was very friendly and helpful with every contact from first to last communication. St George Island was beautiful and quiet. However, I advise bringing your own food. The main restaurant was crowded, noisy and we could not eat our dinner. The manager was understanding in this regard. We did find a great little oyster bar hidden away. The unit was clean and comfortable with newish appliances. In the nice size eating area. However the first impression was extremely poor, but these could all be quickly and inexpensively corrected by the owner. The white front door was filthy with black grease stains. It cries for cleaning and painting. I did not want to touch it. The numerous broken old mini blinds need to be replaced immediately since they give the first impression of serious neglect. Simple inexpensive washable drapes would be much better or shades. The hole hidden by a beach mat by the counter needs to be fixed. There was no hair dryer, and the internet code did not work. For the price, I would rent the house again. The location to beach access was perfect and we had a lovely family holiday.

Nice Little Place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place was great for our family. It could definitely use a little updating and fixing up. Considering the price of this place compared to other rentals, this was great for what we needed. Most of our time was spent exploring the island, so we mostly just slept and ate breakfast here. The location is great, you can see the ocean from the porch and the beach is a block away. It's right off the bike path, so we were able to ride our bikes into town and to all the restaurants. The only negatives was that it has a very musty smell if the fans aren't constantly running.

Reviewer Comments: Overall a serviceable and well located, Disappointingly no wifi available. When office was notified I was told it must be down and service call was placed. However over course of the week stay never received a call back on status, and no action appears to have been taken. Television only has local channels. House itself is in need of upkeep, rust/?mold on outside of refrigerator door. Bathrooms are very small.

Good location, easy renting process & communication. The Bad, grass hasn’t been cut and the yard was full of sand spurs which had been tracked in previously and deposited in the carpet so that we would get stuck by them. Threshold rotted out; screws sticking up and easy to stump your toes on. Master bathroom outlet doesn’t work. Needs to be a GFC as does the other bathroom and the one next to the kitchen sink. It was adequately supplied otherwise. It would have been nice if there had been a small box of laundry detergent. Could not adequately adjust the knob in the shower, so that the water was only lukewarm.
