Property was booked and paid for through the VRBO site. We traveled 16 hours to get to our rental and was on the phone for 8 of those hours while driving trying to get the check in info which was never sent with my itinerary. I had to speak with 8 different customer service reps including 2 supervisors, all foreign and were very hard to understand. Some said they would call back and never did.The owner of the home was called, emailed and messaged several times by myself and VRBO over 24 hours with NO response. One of the reps told me because I booked 24 hours in advance VRBO was not able to help me and I would have to cancel my res and money was non-refundable. I had to remind them I booked on VRBOs site and they took my money and sent me an itinerary. She transferred me to a supervisor. Finally the last person I spoke with was another supervisor and he had to cancel my reservation 30 minutes prior to us ariiving to the rental home since they couldnt reach the owner. After much irritation and anxiety he gave me a key credit for one free night at a hotel which thankfully we were able to find one that accepted dogs at the last minute. It had drag racing right out front at night so didnt get much sleep. We were just grateful to have a place to stay at that point.This was the second time Ive had issues with Expedia/VRBO. The gentleman at the hotels front desk said they have been having issues with Expedia and their bookings.
