There are blackout curtains on all the windows, privacy curtains for both sleeping spaces. The bathroom has a compost toilet, shower and sink. There’s a grill with charcoal and lighter fluid included. Coffeemaker, coffee, tea, bottled water, chocolate and pancake mix, syrup and butter for breakfast. There’s a tv with a dvd player and a small collection of movies. There’s also board games in the treasure chest. The home is decorated with handmade crafts by the host, and all guests are welcomed with a card with a picture of wildlife from the property. The Kenai and Kasilof rivers are within five miles of the home and the host lives next door in case you need anything. The space is limited but is big on amenities and guest service. This home is one of a kind and we would love to welcome you aboard!

This was a unique place to stay in Alaska or anywhere. This houseboat seemed like it sprung out of someone’s dream. It had all the things you would need and then some. The hosts were awesome and informative of the features offered within this whimsical place. I would highly recommend this place over the average and mundane hotel rooms that are found around the planet. Take a risk and be rewarded. Thanks Gary and Theresa as well as Ghost for the hospitality.

Memorial Day Getaway

We came to Alaska for our anniversary and Ghosts Magic Ship was the cutest little stay for Memorial Day on our way south from Anchorage to Homer. Perfect space for the two of us with all the creature comforts of home! We had everything we needed and more! The location was great - super close to shops in Soldotna but far enough way that we could experience the wilderness of Alaska! There were so many artful details, and everything was so serene! The hospitality of the hosts was top notch! We appreciated so much attention, communication, and explanation on the sustainable features of the property - the composting toilet wasn't scary at all! We will definitely be staying here again next time we're in Alaska. We had such a joyful experience, and this is an absolute gem of VRBOs! We are so grateful!

Lovely Mini Vacation

My granddaughter loves the boat house and all of the original art inside! The hosts were very friendly and helped introduce us to the unique property fully. We look forward to staying again in the future!
