What a beautiful villa with an amazing pool! The villa was close to the supermarket and we had everything we needed for a fun family holiday. Andreas was a great host and brought more fans when we needed them. We’d definitely recommend this villa!!

Beautiful villa

Andrea place is so beautiful and quiet that we stayed ladt year and came back this year everything you could need in a home kids love it and definitely going back next year mcdonalds was on 15 min drive and shops not to far away i would suggest in hiring a car

We had the best time, the villa was spacious giving us plenty of room, the pool was large and warm. There was always somewhere for us to gather but also a place for us to chill. We would definitely recommend

Nice and spacious villa in a quit environment

Beautiful pool, spacious rooms, several terraces in a green environment. Very fluent contact with the owner. Certainly a good address for families.

Nice House very well located

Beautiful and quiet place, amazing pool ! Location is perfect to visit Syracuse and South East of Sicily. 1h driving from the Etna and 45mn from Catania. I recommend the place also because of the kindness of Andrea, the owner.

Beautiful spacious villa

We had a lovely fortnight in Andrea’s villa. The villa and pool/grounds are all very spacious and well equipped. The villa looks even better in person with some of the decor/furniture being updated since the photos. Andrea was a great host and very helpful with anything we needed. We would love to return in the future!

Summer Holidays (3 families)

We spent a very nice holiday in this property in the summer 2009. The property was well maintained. It looks just like in the pictures. No negative suprises. The owner provided a very good service and was very helpful. The children loved the swimming pool! It is a very good accommodation for three families with kids.

We had a great time with the family in the house. It was more that beautiful, very clean and with great spots to sit together and enjoy our time. many green spots, great refreshing pool. decoration in local and beautiful, kitchen is accomplished with more than we needed. To sum up, this is a dream house! the owner is amazing, so helpful and available for any need. We would definitely come back and recommend to friends!!

Fantastic villa with an absolutely wonderful garden and pool. We had a great holiday staying there, relaxing, perfect for the children, lots of space. Wonderful stay!

We spent two weeks at Andrea's beautiful villa for our annual family reunion (group of 10 people ranging from 82 to 4 years old) and we wish we could have stayed longer!! The property is amazing: beautiful surroundings, lots of nice spaces to gather outside, a gorgeous (huge) pool and the house itself had everything we needed. We enjoyed the fact that the villa is secluded, in a rural area surrounded by olive and lemon trees but still less than 10 minutes drive from the supermarket, bakeries and gelato! Andrea was super friendly, helpful and responsive. He was also very respectful of our privacy, which we very much appreciated. Thank you again Andrea and all the best!

Very nice

Very nice residence. The house is big and had everything we need. We appreciated the differents places outside in the big property to relax and eat . The pool was appreciated by all the family, spacious to play, swin, dive, jump... The property is close to shops in Floridia, and just a few km from Siracusa and the see side. The property is as well very located to plan some day trips to the Etna, Ragusa, Notto, ... The host, Andrea is very helpfull and can give good advice on the area. All in all a very sucessfull holiday.

A wonderful week in the nature of Sicily!

We stayed a week in october in the beautiful villa outside Floridia. We were welcomed by Andrea and got a lot of information about the environment (south-east Sicily). We were with six and we enjoyed the space in the house, the garden, the swimmingpool and the beautiful noises of the birds around the villa. We had a lot of fun there and visited Noto, Modica, Pantalica, and of course Syracuse. Also we enjoyed the excellent Sicilian kitchen. Andrea, thank you very much for your pleasant hostship! Simply fantastic

Six of us have just returned and we had a fantastic time. The villa is exactly as in the pictures, the pool is large and there are any number of places to sit and relax, eat or sunbathe, there is even a bar with fridge by the pool. The location is good, being only a few minutes from the Catania/Siracusa dual carriageway and only a short distance from Siracusa. This meant we could do quite a bit of siteseeing when not relaxing. There are several shops a couple of miles away and a very nice restaurant fifteen minutes walk away. Andrea was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. We all had a fantastic time and would thoroughly recommend!

"We had a very good holid...

"We had a very good holiday in Villa Lucy chiefly because of the lovely garden and pool. The garden had lots of alternative shady or covered areas to retreat from the sun and read a book or relax. We so enjoyed relaxing in the evenings next to or in the excellent pool while cooking on the barbecue in the outdoor summer kitchen that we rarely ate out. The local supermarket and market stalls provided everything we needed including a wealth of local fruit and vegetables. The villa had lots of space for a big family and several comfortable sitting areas inside. It took some time to remember the villa's location, which was well out of the town of Floridia, but it was convenient for exploring the area without needing to use busy main roads, yet Syracusa was not far away. In one week we just managed a taste of exploring the area, including trips to Noto, Pantalica and Etna."

THE PLACE TO BE !

Thank you Andrea for everything ! We went to Andreas property as an group about 8 adults. The house is super beautiful inside and outside ! You have so many fruit trees there and also a big lemon tree and it is all allowed to use! There is enough place if you need to have some time for you or you want to share some good times with your group. The pool is so much bigger then it looks like at the pictures . We had a lot of pool games with us and still enough space to swim our rounds. What is also really important to say is that the house and the pool was super clean. All in one we had one of our best vacations at Andreas house a specially because he has given us so many suggestions for restaurants or beaches to visit ! Thanks for everything we will come back ! Great house!

My family and I just spend two weeks in the house and we are all very happy about the stay. The services of the owner were impeccable and all went according to plan. The house is surrounded be lemon and orange plantation which immediately gives you a calm feeling of being far from home and the huge ground of the property gives you a perfect setting for a relaxing holiday with a deep and very clean pool as the focal point. While the nearest town of Floridia don’t offer much else than a couple of nice spots in the town centre and fine grocery shopping possibilities you will find a range of interesting places nearby with beautiful Syracuse as the closet. Other points of interest in the area are the ancient graves and villages in the amazing Valle dell’ Anapo, the beaches just south of Syracuse or the old towns of Ragusa, Modica and Noto. And off course the must-sees Mount Etna and Taormina is within the range of a day trip.

Lovely base for exploring this corner of Sicily

This place is a fantastic base to use for exploring this lovely area. The house has a nice homely feel and is very roomy. The pool and outdoor areas are particularly good with a portico for outdoor dining and a variety of different sitting areas allowing you to get shade or sunshine any time of day. The BBQ area was particularly good being covered and with a full outdoor kitchen facility. The pool was deep and well maintained by our host Andrea. Andrea was a perfect host communicating with us to let us know in advance when he needed to come to the property for pool maintenance or any other tasks. Andrea was exceptionally helpful for anything we needed and had good local knowledge. In terms of the area, the Penny Market is close by and open long hours, it stocks most of what you would need. The house is only about 20 minutes from Syracuse, a city that we really fell in love with. There is a good and very popular restaurant nearby called Villa del Castle, if you want to eat out. All in all this was a super place to stay and made for a very memorable holiday in Sicily

Great villa, plenty of space and brilliant pool

Firstly Andrea, is an excellent host.so discreet and yet very helpful. He didn’t intrude at all and gave us privacy, but at the same time was there if we needed him at all. This was a brilliant holiday for us. We stayed as two family’s with five children between us, aged 9months to nearly six. Very safe garden for them all to wonder. The pool is great, very deep at one end and not fenced off. So you have to watch the kids....but not really an issue for us as we where all always outside anyway. Brilliant eating spots in different areas of the garden. Great market to visit in the morning at Siracusa. Loads of fresh food and well worth visiting as only 20mins away. Noto is also a must see and is only 45mins. We also loved a beach called Eloro. Great for the children, plenty of crabs and fish to see. And was only a five minute walk from the parking. We drove to see mount etna, which was 1hour 20mins. It is worth the visit and we actually had one overcast day whilst there and so did this trip on that day. The villa was well equipped and had all that we needed. We all stayed in the main house but there is also a separate annexe sleepei Thankyou Andrea xxx

Amazing!!

We recently stayed at Andrea's villa, and it was an absolute delight. The swimming pool was undeniably the highlight – vast in size and perfect for both relaxation and fun. The villa boasted numerous shaded areas, ideal for those moments when we wanted to retreat from the sun's intensity. The sprawling space was perfect for the children to freely run around and indulge in their playful antics. Inside, the villa was equipped with almost everything we could have hoped for. However, one area of improvement would be the air conditioning. Although the rooms had fans, they couldn’t combat the warmth, especially during the nights, making our sleep somewhat uncomfortable on hotter days. Location-wise, a car is essential for accessing the nearby shops and beach. But this minor inconvenience was overshadowed by the beauty of the place and the warmth of our host. Andrea was an exceptional host, offering us a plethora of recommendations, from the best restaurants and beaches to local shops. Throughout our stay, he was attentive, ensuring we were comfortable and well-informed. All in all, our experience was memorable. Despite the minor hiccup with cooling, we wholeheartedly had a fabulous time and would highly recommend Andrea's villa to anyone seeking a serene getaway.

A great family holiday

We had a wonderful holiday for our extended family, with age range of not yet two to nearly sixty. It was quiet and secure so that it was perfectly safe for little ones to play, and even had lizards for lizard hunts and fresh pomegranates which we picked from the trees to eat. There were sunny terraces for the sun-worshippers, and shady spots for the tender skinned. Everyone loved it. The house is a big family home with everything we needed on hand. The bedrooms had plenty of space and big fans to help keep us cool at night. We loved the fact that we had tables to eat outside in the shade in different parts of the garden. Andrea welcomed us warmly and came to look after the pool (which is huge) regularly, keeping it spotlessly clean. He also came to help, bringing his own scanner and printer when we needed to send urgent work emails half way through the holiday. There is plenty nearby to visit from sandy, rock or shingle beaches, from prehistoric necropoli to ancient temples or modern gallleries, and of course the UNESCO world heritage sites of Syracusa and Noto. Andrea was a good source of information on sightseeing, and gave us a good tourist map. Local markets (particularly the fish market) as well as supermarkets provided all that we needed for cooking and we found a wide range of restaurants from small local ones to grand international cuisine when we wanted to eat out. I would warmly recommend this villa to any family wanting a holiday that is relaxing, with opportunities to visit many of the beautiful and interesting places that Sicily can offer.

"The house itself was just as described, it is big, plenty of space, lots of shaded areas to take shelter in from the sun if necessary, very comfortable. When we arrived we were a bit disappointed that there were no provisions of any kind left for us (but maybe we were the first renters of the season). Also we had gotten used from other rentals to having a ‘welcome’ basket of some food, fruit, wine – it would have been nice as we arrived quite late on a Sunday evening but there was nothing there… Saying that, the owners / representatives were very friendly and the people who came in to clean the pool and garden during the time we were there were very kind and considerate, even helping us source some local olive oil for bringing home. The house is on the countryside between Floridia and Solarino, about halfway between the two and is quite private and secluded. Getting to Syracusa is quite easy and takes about 20/30 minutes by car, allowing for traffic. There are two things to be aware of: 1 - The pool is not separated from the grounds in any way and is very deep at one end, so you have to be very mindful of your children while you are there. It would be quite easy to separate the pool area with a gates/fencing and I strongly suggest that the owners consider this – makes it much easier when you have toddlers with you! 2 - Floridia, the local town is quite...dissapointing. It is fairly shabby and not really somewhere where you want to spend too much time. We usually enjoy getting up and having juice, coffee and pastries in the local town in the morning and we really found nowhere in Floridia where you could enjoy this. The other village, Solarino is actually smaller and nicer but it took us a while to try it! Overall we had a very relaxing time in the house and it is perfect if you want somewhere quiet and secluded. As long as you are happy being self-sufficient and you don’t mind not having plenty of local restaurants or cafes very close by then I would happily recommend the house. "
