You can also explore the sights of Sukoan, such as the Church of Our Lady of Mercy with built-in embrasures opposite the old town gate. Or you can visit the landmark, the archiepiscopal summer residence Palac, which was built on an artificial island. Stroll along the harbour and stop off at one of the many restaurants to enjoy the local cuisine. This is also a wonderful place for nature lovers, as it is surrounded by 5 national parks and 2 nature reserves. A visit to the nearby town of Zadar is also always worthwhile.
