A Great Find
We liked:
Very welcoming reception staff; special thanks to Vidaya, for all her help. Maps available at check in. Spacious modern apartment, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and furnishings. Modern equipped kitchen with utensils and an efficient washer dryer.
A reasonable sized swimming pool is on the 5th floor, again spotlessly clean.
A few minutes walk from Fort Canning MRT station and a short walk to Robertson Quay and Clarke Quay.
There is an excellent supermarket on the 1st floor of the adjacent shopping centre and a 7/11 mini market on the ground floor. For a drink/snack, we loved the Sque Bar at Clark Quay Central, outside seating which overlooks the river.
Things that could be better:
For starters, let me say that we would be more than happy to return here and because the good bits were so good. The hotel is a little difficult to find, and with the refurbishment is currently only announced by temporary signage. Take the lift to the 5th floor to the welcoming reception area.
The spotless bathroom looks great but needs a little tweaking. The shower curtain is inadequate for the bath design and the water is channelled from the back of the bath onto the bathroom floor.
Housekeeping is every 2-3 days, which is fine, it is an apartment after all and the cleaner is excellent. But the "housekeeping rounds" commence at 9:00am. This is very early for a self catering establishment, particularly as many guest have travelled from different time zones.
