Excellent location, with MRT station across the road, amazing hawker halls as close as next door. Walkable location if the weather isn’t too humid. Although an older hotel, the room was spacious and the pool was refreshing. Excellent having laundry facilities onsite too. I would recommend this hotel

I do not recommend this property. The state of the hotel does not reflect the pictures online. While the lobby area looks nice, the upper floors look and smell old. Upon arriving to our room, we found hair in various places including the bed. The rooms smelled like mildew and cigarettes. Within minutes of arriving to our room, I had a headache. The rooms are in dire need of an update - the paint is peeling from the wall and there are stains everywhere on the carpet. The staff offered to switch us to another room but upon inspection of three other rooms, we realized they are all in similar conditions. All of that I may have been able to overlook, but the smell was too overpowering for me to stay for four days. I did not even want to unpack my clothes for fear the stench of mildew and cigarettes would seep into it. We ended up checking out immediately. It’s too bad because this hotel is in a great location. The one redeeming quality about it is the staff. They were very kind and friendly to us. I do not consider this to meet the standards of a 4 star hotel.

Fourth time I have stayed at this hotel. It really needs a renovation and new customer relations. The attitudes of some staff members I have never seen before. My next visit to Singapore won't include the Furama.

Overall a great stay. Good value and no frills. We had adjoining rooms - a queen in one and two twins in another, that felt like one room. Rooms are a bit dated, beds are a bit hard, and yes... there was a slightly musty smell (although you get used to it quickly).

The first room given to us on the 4th floor had mold on the walls and the aircon vents. We could smell the stale mustiness as soon as we got out of the lift. Carpets looked so dirty like they haven't been cleaned in decades. We were able to change into another room which was better but the toilets were horrible to flush. Would need to flush about 5 times before the toilet paper would go down. And there was a leak on the floor between the toilet and the bathtub. The water coming out of the sink and shower faucet were next to impossible to regulate. The water was SO, SO HOT. Very unsafe especially if there were children. Not sure how this hotel passes any safety checks.

Location was very good and room was spacious with plenty storage. Bed was comfortable. The hotel is tired andin need of refurbishment. Air conditioning was poor with the whole hotel still hot and room temp didn’t go below 23.5 degrees. Was good to have self service laundry. And also was cockroach in the lift.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Filtered water was available for free. Room practically had everything we needed. However, there were holes in the carpet of the room and mold in the bathroom. There was some mold on the window wall and the window was dirty. The carpet of the hallways were loose which made it hard to wheel our suitcases. The cleanliness was really the worst part about the place, but you get what you pay for.
