Room was excellent, comfortable bed and stunning bathroom. TV that you could use chromcast with. Door locks felt safe. Staff that handled luggage were so friendly and professional. Pool and gym were lovely too ! Excellent location to everywhere you want to visit. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I had stayed at the Carlton twice in June. The first was pleasant and without incident. But here is my review if the second stay: "The hotel property seems too big for the staff to manage. They try hard, but this hotel is unnecessarily big and so problems arise. The parking lot is as big as Disneyland so arrival, checkin and luggage drop off is hard. When I got there, no one helped me with my luggage bc they were fawning over other guests - so I looked for a cart, lloaded my luggage and pushed the heavy cart into the hotel myself. I informed the checkout desk that this happened, who then send me to a dirty room. Filthy towels, toothbrushes, coffee cups, bottles in the room. I complained and was moved to a better room where we had a towel flecked with hairs -- I doubt if they were facial hairs. And for a seaside resort in the summer, I was perplexed why the pool was drained. Its like throwing a birthday party without a cake. What's the point? The staff and manager were very apologetic. But this place is just too big for them to manage. I would choose a different hotel next time."

The Carlton boasts of being a luxury hotel but its service is lacking. I stayed there a previous week without issue. The following week I check in again. There is no hot water, the towels have hair or are old and tattered. When I raise the hot water issue with night manager he suggests sending an engineer to the room to check. It is already almost 11:30 pm. I already had to shower in cold water, I wasn't going to put my wife through that, nor wait past midnight for a plumber to fix the water. Night manager then spends 40 mins switching us to a different room. It is now 12:10 a.m. and I ask if night manager expects me to pay for this night. He threatens to call the police on me. I tell him I am going to talk to his boss tomorrow and I instruct him to tell his boss about tonight and that he threatened me with the police. Next morning I talk to general manager. The night manager told him about last night, but cowardly left out threatening me with police. The general manager apologizes and makes amends. So the verdict, i will never stay at Carlton hotel again. The Grand Park City and Fairmont are nearby and I have wonderful stays with them.

Great stay in Singapore

The hotel is beautiful and room was super clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. We reserved a king size bedroom. Up on arrival, the staff member suggested that, for our comfort, they would be happy to put an extra tween size bed for our son. It was a very thoughtful suggestion. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel is very conveniently located to all major attractions.

Thank you. Always a trusted source due to location and service. Only downside on this trip is the hot hotel is shower, it doesn't really get to the right temperature (but thank goodness the weather is so warm that cooler water was ok) and a stubborn toilet flush. However will still come back and hope better luck next time.

Nice hotel in an area that is walkable to much of central Singapore. Raffles hotel, Chijmes (bars and restaurants), and Raffle City Mall are across the street and MRT 2 min walk. Updated gym is Nicely equipped as is the outdoor pool.
