ZERO Manager Communication/Check-in Mistakes
Property is nice, clean with great amenities. HOWEVER, we were texted bad check-in instructions. We were told to enter the guard shack, and pick up our key packet. We went into the shack, but there was no packet to be found. We called 3 different numbers and finally reached a live person (no manager on duty). We were given the maintenance override code to the digital lock at our condo. We entered and inside was the packet. I was told that a manager would contact us the next day to check in with us. No phone call. On the back screened in porch, workers left a pile of wood with nails sticking out. Thank goodness we didn't bring little kids with us. Then the next day, we walked to the beach. We rented this property specifically for the private beach access. We went thru the gate which had a nice man at the guard shack. There is no signage and we were given no instruction that we had to walk on a 3 foot wide access right of way. We walked toward what looked like the gate in the website photos. We were confronted by a rude, arrogant wanna be cop. He blocked us with his golf cart. Rather than explain where we needed to walk to access the beach, he was rude and confrontational. He threatened to call the sheriff's on us for "talking back" to him. We explained we had received no instruction, and there was no signage. He threatened, "I'll take your access key fob away from you." I called customer service and spoke to Dan, requesting a MGR call back. No call back.
