There was some refurbishment work taking place close to my room, which I was notified of by a printed note in the room. The noise was not much of a problem as it was taking place during the day. There were flickering lights in places, the bed was quite hard and uncomfortable, but as I was only staying 2 nights I made do. The breakfast offering was ok, but generally the facilities were good. Staff were helpful when I needed assistance.

I really don’t understand why this hotel has such a high rating. On the first day we checked in, we found a gecko in the room, and it was making very loud noises. We had to go downstairs to the front desk for help because there was no telephone in the room. A male staff member came with a can of insect spray. We asked to change rooms, but the next day we found another gecko in the new room as well. On the third day at noon, when we returned to the room, we noticed that although the room had been cleaned, the towels had not been replaced. Later in the afternoon, when we went out again, we informed the staff and asked them to change the towels, and they agreed. However, when we came back to the room in the evening and were about to take a shower, we only realized after taking off our clothes that the towels still had not been changed. We had no choice but to get dressed again and go down to the front desk to complain. Overall, this hotel has very outdated facilities and the service is far from satisfactory.

The room was super clean and smelled nice when I arrived. It made me feel instantly comfortable. After walking around temples all day, dipping into the pool felt like heaven. I stayed there longer than planned.

If you enjoy good food, the hotel restaurant is a must-visit. The meals were incredibly tasty, and the variety available was impressive. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the dishes, making every penny spent worthwhile.

The manager did try to correct any inefficiencies with our room and we were moved 3x. The last room we didn’t want to say anything but the bed was hard and we had no wifi on the floor we were moved. The breakfast was good. The dinner we had not so much. There were some translation misunderstandings when it came to English. Some of the staff could be better trained.

RATS AND RAT DROPPINGS IN ROOMS. No refund offered EVEN THOUGH WE DID NOT STAY EVEN 1 NIGHT AT THIS HOTEL. 0 accountability. TERRIBLE communication. Stay at the Marriott. Well worth the extra money. Currently working with hotels.com for refund. DO NOT STAY HERE UPDATE, our refund was denied. They are thieves. We stayed in the room a total of a few hours, yet we were still charged 3 nights.

Staff were lovely, friendly & helpful, but definetley need more training in dealing with international guests. Sadly the breakfast was cold, but was better the next morning after I complained. The TV had no English / Movie channel which is important for some guests after spending the day exploring. It’s a stunning hotel with a superb pool area, the staff just need to be trained properly.

The AC in the room was weak and there was no AC in the lobby. The shower was one of those that is flush with the bathroom floor so water floods the bathroom when you shower. There is no landline in the room, so they give you a card with QR codes so you can message or call the front desk for anything. I messaged the front desk and asked for more towels so that didn’t slip in the bathroom, and never got a response. I would spend a little bit more to have a flawless stay elsewhere nearby.
