Very clean, cozy and well equipped cabin, very nice neighborhood. Jamie the cabin host is wonderful and quick to respond to any concerns. Look forward to returning.

Snow fun!

The Sparrow’s Nest was delightful! The perfect place for a family snow getaway. We loved the wood burning stove and the perfectly appointed kitchen. The house was sparking clean and cozy! Jamie was a wonderful host. Can’t wait to visit again!

Amazing patio

Stayed for Father’s Day weekend and had a great time. We spent most of our time on the wonderful patio. Jamie was quick with a response when I e had questions. Would highly recommend.

Sparrow’s Nest

This is a very nice 3 bedroom cabin at Shaver Lake CA. It was completely remodeled a couple years ago (it appears) and is in a very nice and convenient neighborhood. This year was out 2nd summer and we’ll return next summer!

Awesome experience in family friendly cabin

This cabin was great for 4 adults, 2 kids over holiday weekend. Jamie (host) was available and accommodating during our whole stay. They made sure we had everything we needed to cook thanksgiving dinner, including new pots and pans. Firewood was included so we could stay warm all weekend. Cabin was clean and fully stocked… no complaints! Highly recommend this spot for a memorable vacation!

The Sparrow’s Nest Getaway

This property is absolutely perfect for a family getaway in Shaver Lake! We thought the cabin was lovely. The 3 bedrooms are roomy! The beds are all comfortable with incredibly soft sheets. The cabin looks new and is decorated so nicely! The kitchen was great for family meals with everything you need and a nice big table. The location was great. We walked to town easily. We will be back!

Great family home near ski lifts

Had a really good time - home is just right for our family of 6. Loved the ambiance of the fireplace with provided wood. Vinyl flooring great for our two dogs. Just a note - neither of the baths are ensuite. This has its ups and downsides.

Great time had by all.

Hoped for a great cabin experience with snow for the grandkids. Hopes were realized. No fancy resort, no long lines, no grumpy vacationers. The cabin was just right for our needs. We were broken-hearted by the fire damage down the hill from Shaver but thankful for the efforts of Cal Fire so that Shaver Lake was spared.

Wonderful cabin!

This cabin was not only immaculately clean upon our arrival but it really does have everything you need from the kitchen to the linens. We relaxed in the comfy living room and enjoyed the deck, fire pit, and yard surrounded by the beautiful trees. The rooms are nice and big. Jamie is a fantastic host. Check in and out was easy and communication was timely and helpful. We would definitely stay at this cabin again and also would love to stay at the other cabins Jamie hosts. This was an amazing vacation rental experience!!

Our confusion turned in to blessing

Well when we got to the cabin we find out that it’s haven’t been serviced after previous renters so I called the manager and let them know what is going on and she was very sorry about that and immediately start figuring things out. So in less then half hour we were placed in cabin across the street which was very nice and clean and cozy and beautiful!!! We had very good time celebrating my husband’s birthday with family.

Perfect Getaway

Took our boys for the weekend before school began. Plenty of space for all 6 of us at the Sparrows Nest. Cabin was clean and provided what we needed for the weekend. Jamie w/ the cabin host was very responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely stay again.

Great location and super nice hosts!

We rented the Sparrows Nest for our large family for a week and had a very enjoyable stay. Kitchen had all the amenities and the place had a bbq and corn hole for nice evenings outdoors.

Very nice property. Very quiet and quaint. Check in was a breeze and the host is easy to communicate with. No issues at all and my fam loved the vacation. Great place to stay.

Nice little cabin

But I got the days messed up when I did the reservation online I thought we did a three day did it in such a hurry and didn’t realize the dates so got there it was freezing it took so long to warm cabin then got the flu!!! Hit us like wildfire!!!! Horrible weekend housekeeping lady was giving is horrible looks and blocked my son from leaving trying to intimidate us I honestly made the mistake and I think we were taking advantage that wasn’t the case but we all had the flu don’t know how but it wasn’t a good experience and it was our very first trip to shaver

Great place to stay.

Great location. The cabin was clean and spacious inside. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit while the kids played in the snow. The host, Jamie, was very kind and responsive.
