Welcome to beautiful Sefton & our heritage home, parts dating back to 1865.
Wake to the sound of birdsong and decide what to do for the day, be it chilling onsite, fishing, exploring walks around Mt Thomas or visiting the many vineyards only 20mins drive away. With Rangiora and Christchurch a mere 10-25 mins drive there is plenty to do and see before relaxing in a tranquil country oasis.
With breakfast of cereals and toast provided to enjoy at your own leisure (for up to two days) the options for the day are endless.

cute and convenient

lovely little cottage with everything that a couple could need for a getaway. The local pub was a bonus for some yummy cheap meals but with all of the fantastic facilities in the cottage, there is no need to go out if you don't want to. The special touches such as the home stewed plums for breakfast were lovely touch. would definitely recommend this spot to others.

We enjoyed a very relaxing stay in the lovely appartment. Max and Steve are super hosts!They are very respectful of the guests' privacy, open to questions and happy to share a chat with a good sense of humor. The garden is lovely to walk in or to sit and watch the animals and the surroundings. The dogs, Bailey and Digby, are great friends, well behaved, obedient and sociable. We were guests for three nights and would have liked to stay for a month.

Beautiful countryside retreat. Great hosts. Our property greeters Bailey and Digby just the best. Bed super comfy, cottage had everything you needed . Being an animal lover the pets were a wonderful addition to this property. Owner and pets could not have been more welcoming. The cottage is very well appointed with everything you might want and more. A very short drive from Christchurch but it feels like you've gone miles into the country - getting away from everything almost on your back door if you're a Christchurch person, and a wonderful break from the city if you're a visitor to Christchurch

New fields cottage

A very nice cottage, very friendly hosts and a great place to stay with your dog. Cottage is very well equipped, warm and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was provided with home prepared fruit, cereals and spreads for toast. Would definitely come again.
