This management company called us hours before we were supposed to check in to let us know there was a massive leak of sorts and could no longer check in. Mind you, this leak did not seem to be an issue two days prior when I reached out to them to confirm the unit was indeed available. But I get it, stuff happens and apparently, the prior tenants who had strong animosity toward water pipes and chose to damage them. The biggest issue, however, is that this management company did basically nothing to solve the issue. They tried to send comparable units, but none were as nice as the one we paid for. When I found a similar one that we liked and that was also under their management, they would not accommodate despite them putting us in a complete bind. We were already in the area with nowhere to stay, with no leverage. The offered us a refund, but what they should have done is honored their deal by offering the alternative that better matched the original booking.
