We’ve been visiting Sea Ranch every year since the 90s and this house has the best unobstructed Ocean View. It also has a really big dining room table. Perfect for a large group and comfy furniture. we will be back again.

Very nice location, however, the house is run down. Water heater broke, kitchen faucet broke, window screens missing or bent (hard to cool off the solar gain or hear birds chirp, dining chairs badly need padding, cobwebs abundant inside and out. Cover on the Hottub broken (hit me on my way out!) Dish washer top each broken and unusable. Garbage inconvenient in that you have to unlock the Bear Door and pull the can out of its little house. I'm 6'4" and use to be a linebacker and it was tricky for me. I also bumped my head in the process. I'd say 10k of replaced items, proper cleaning routine would make this place worth the price or even more! Can't beat the location. Oh, the staff at Vacasa was not friendly and I made a simple request and they seemed "put upon" and I'm a very nice guy. After the fourth call to repair something I kind of gave up. This trip was just a few days with a son before we go to Europe for the summer.. so I didn't appreciate the repair distractions. I'd like about 1000 back for the issues. Relaxing vacation with the waves and seals

Great stay at the Bovill! Cozy place with a beautiful view! It was a bit of a hassle to park with just two parking passes and not being allowed to park in the driveway but besides that it was a wonderful place to relax and unwind. :)

incredible location and great feel

This house idyllic in its location. Right next to a beautiful cove. Access to wonderful hiking and vistas. The house itself had anything we needed for extensive dinners and just lounging around. A truly wonderful experience.

Beautiful location and views!

The house is just as advertised, right on the ocean with sweeping views. And for our stay in cold January, the heating works very well and both gas fireplaces put out nice heat. Hot tub also clean and warm. The decor and interiors could use some updating...but other than that a very nice house.

Comfortable and beautiful views

The home was beautifully situated with amazing views of the ocean and easy access to the bluff trail. Very well stocked kitchen. We had 6 adults in our family and appreciated the large dining table for meals and board games.

Fabulous view and walks

We were able to enjoy the beach/ocean views from the house windows and from 2 patios. The large garden entrance with hot tub was relaxing. The property was enclosed by a fence and felt very secure and safe. Mostly we loved sitting on the deck, watching the ocean and wild life and walking along the coast and observing the changing ocean views.

Beautiful

This was our first time here, our group loved being in this house and waking up to the beach, and falling asleep to the beach. The beach is a short 10 minute walk about the neighborhood to get down to the water. Beautiful hot tub, and clean towels. The master bed is super comfortable. We have basics to cook pasta, and breakfast. Local shore shell store 10 minute drive.

Location, location

Bovill House is in a perfect Sea Ranch location -- steps away from the bluff path, Shell Beach and a cove where seals gather to nap. We had stayed in this house in 2020 and some renovation has been done since. The views are magnificent especially from the main bedroom and the living/dining room. Our only critical comment is that the two back bedrooms are very cold on a winter stay. The wall heaters either didn't work or were inadequate. Also, the owners would give a great gift to renters if they provided a new blender.

Great House with Ocean Views

This is a great house for a group and has ocean views from the living room and master bedroom. We came with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday for the weekend and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house has the kitchen and living/ dining areas all in the center, with two bedrooms each on either side of the center of the house. We loved going for long walks along the bluffs and soaking in the hot tub in the evening. The kitchen is large and has everything you need to prepare meals. There are plenty of games and books as well as a small DVD library for entertainment. It was clean and comfortable and we'd absolutely love to return some day!

Memorable Getaway and Reunion

Beautiful property, spacious, spectacular views and easy access to coastal footpaths. House is well appointed with full service kitchen, cookware, etc, beach towels and more. Management responded very quickly to a hot water issue. We hope to return again. Thank you for wonderful time.

Dope stay with entire fam

Took my mother in law, husband, 5yr old and 1yr old here for a week before Xmas. Perfect location right near Shell beach and about 10min from Gualala. Mornings had tons of wildlife, nights had tons of stars. Great to have washer/dryer and lots of bedrooms and bathrooms and outdoor space for the kids to play. The only downside was that the hottub's lights weren't working and it was so chlorinated that our eyes burned, lol, so we didn't end up using it. Would come back!
