I could have written my name in the dust in my room Fridge didn’t work the sink was blocked kept using the sink plug to make it drain a bit faster The window kept rattling had to wedge it with paper

The hotel was awful and disgusting The roll my heart was Number 420. The room got the mould everywhere on the bathroom and on the ceiling above our bed the bed was dirty and the bed spring was out of the bed hurt my partner pack after we complain to the receptionist they gave us room number 6 after we talk the other room we found a blood on the pillow. The caution was so dirty like never been cleaned before and it’s not big different than the first room we had mould and dirt everywhere plus the kettle was dirty we couldn’t use it. We have had very bad experience and we shocked as we should celebrate our anniversary I couldn’t believe what’s going on Unbelievable we drove about 3 hours away from my home town to celebrate our anniversary at Scarborough because we love Scarborough city and we have a good memory over there but what happened at the hotel? I cannot believe it that mould and dirt everywhere on the rooms and blood on my cushions and below. I have talk a load of pictures as an evidence I feel so sorry because our anniversary and pressure’s time should be a romantic time turn to disgusting and destroy our loving time what we been true-at the hotel rooms

The room was disgusting. It hadn’t seen a cleaner in 90 years, fawlty towers would have been cleaner, I asked for clean sheets, I didn’t get them, I asked for a cleaner and I didn’t get one of them either, I spoke to 3 different managers and I didn’t get any further. I am disgusted with my stay, there was blood and piss stains on the mattress, and the bath I couldn’t even use as it was that dirty, I was scared of catching something.

Our stay here over the weekend of the 27/6/25 to 29/6/25. Was very poor we checked in on the Friday to find our room very dirty and dusty after speaking to staff several times nothing was done . Staff were not helpful at all. Will defiantly not be returning

Ok, so the hotel isn’t the best at all, but our experience was definitely not as bad as most of the previous reviews. Our room was 436 (we had our pup with us), it looked out on to the courtyard at the back of the hotel which honestly we didn’t care about as we were out for most of our stay anyway! The room was adequately clean (which was our biggest worry. We booked last min for the location and tbh did not read any reviews, after doing so I was genuinely really anxious and didn’t want to come) however the ONLY thing I could complain about was the state of the curtains. The room was quite small but still fine for the three of us, it didn’t feel too cramped. The room was also extremely hot and humid (due to the weather I think) but the hotel had provided us with two fans, a really nice addition for the hot weekend! The TV was working fine, you are provided with an iron and ironing board, kettle with free tea/coffee and a hairdryer, some of these I’ve not even gotten in a 5 star, so that was fab! The room was on a slant which was hard to deal with when we got home after a few bevs lol, and due to being an old building the floor was very creaky which as we were on a high floor I felt quite bad for anyone below us. I won’t lie I wouldn’t stay here again, it’s definitely not to our taste, BUT if you’re just looking for a cheap stay with a comfy bed to sleep in, it’s actually fine.

Don’t believe the good reviews- this place needs a few million spending on it to get it up to standard. Thick dusk in rooms, wonky floors, first size gap under doors, dirty towels, smells of spoke on reception. If you’re coming for a lads weekend fine. Coming with partner or kids, run - awful place

Pronouns matter

Excellent stay again from the evening reception team at this hotel where I stay regularly as a guest when doing voluntary unpaid work in Yorkshire. Only problem is the morning reception team who misgender trans and non binary people at check out with male pronouns
