The parking area is not manual transmission friendly! The description does not indicate just how sloped the driveway is, or that part of the parking area is covered with rock. If you have more than two vehicles, turning around is not an option. Even in our small vehicles, it was way more challenging than I care for.
The lockbox lid comes completely off, so upon opening, the key fell straight down through an inch-wide gap in the porch. Luckily my son was able to reach under and retrieve it with a stick!
Once inside you will see what makes this listing so special. The view is beautiful! The back porch has six adirondack chairs and small side tables just perfect for enjoying coffee while planning our day. The only thing taking away from the back is the unusable hot tub. If gone, it would free up more space for a small table to place trays and utensils when grilling.
The highs were still in the nineties when we visited the weekend of 9/21, yet a sign states do not set thermostat lower than 72°. Also, there is no way to adjust the speed of the ceiling fan in the living room. Thankfully we brought fans from home!
There is a basic auto drip coffee maker, so go ahead and bring your own ground coffee, sweeteners, and creamers! There were filters in the cabinet that seemed to have probably been left by previous guests.
Overall, the cabin itself was nice. If taking one compact vehicle, I would consider booking again. This was definitely a learning experience!
