First and foremost, this place is in a great location! It’s on the ground level, and the walkout patio looks across the sea grass and a sand dune at the beach and ocean, which are not many steps away. And it’s within easy bicycling distance from some good restaurants.
It could use a few updates, but we didn’t expect (and weren’t looking for) the Ritz. And there were some minor maintenance issues, but I emailed the management company and they were taken care of in a few hours (pretty impressive).
The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is that the kitchen is pretty lacking. If you’re going to dine out every meal, then it’s not a problem. But if you plan to cook some … there are 2 small flimsy skillets with the non-stick surface partially scratched off, the only baking dish is the size of a small loaf of bread (too small for 2 pieces of fish), dull knives, no pot holders (burned my fingers using dish towels instead), no crock pot, no disposal, incomplete set of measuring spoons/cups, etc., and some of the pans (and some glasses) appeared to have been put away without being washed. Fortunately, we made friends with the couple in unit #104 above this one, and their kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed (in mostly new condition).
Again, the kitchen aside, we really liked this unit and it’s location.
