Extremely convenient to the local bars and restaurants around El Parque de los Novios. The place is immaculate and Carlo was very, very helpful. Really a beautiful place. I wish I had stayed here from the beginning of my trip to Santa Marta. I would definitely recommend it.

The hotel has only 8 - 10 rooms so it is very quiet. It's also very well located in the heart of the historic district, with its restaurants, bars, and the bay and it's marina only a 5 minute walk away. Room was very clean and had excellent air conditioning. Staff are friendly, and there is a very good breakfast available for only 16,000 pesos. ' Note: The hotel does not have a big illuminated sign, and is on a narrow street, so is not easy to see from a taxi. Also, the front door is closed and locked. You must buzz for entry, after which you are given a key to come and go at will.

I had a great time at La Solera del Pozo! Stayed only two nights, but was greeted with friendliness and kindness. It was especially nice to be able to take a HOT shower…you pretty much won’t find hot water anywhere in Santa Marta, except for this place ;)

Average Hotel

Nothing spectacular about the stay. The hotel is in a great location. I was charged quite a bit for the laundry service. 52,000 COP for a single load of laundry and wasn't sure if it was really washed. I don't speak the language so there was definitely a misunderstanding. I would've never used the service if it was clear they were charging that much. The water in the shower did not get hot until the last night there as well. I'm American so for the price I paid I'm not really complaining but compared to other options I might have been better off. If you're looking to be close to Parque de Los Novios this is your place if not maybe look for another choice.
