On the positive side, the air conditioning worked extremely well and blew ice cold. The location was good and convenient, and street parking directly in front of the unit was consistently available. The property was also very quiet, with no noise from neighbors or other tenants.Unfortunately, several issues significantly impacted the stay. Communication with the host was difficult, as they only spoke Spanish and made little effort to translate to English, which caused important details to be lost. The address provided in the listing and check in instructions was incorrect, resulting in over two hours spent trying to locate the property.The kitchen was in poor condition. It was dirty on arrival, drawers were hard to open, and the plastic plates were scratched and worn. Kitchen supplies were extremely limited, with only two forks, no toaster, and dirty sponges left behind. Lighting in the kitchen was poor initially, although the host did drop off three new bulbs after we raised the issue.The most serious concern was the ceiling in both the kitchen and living room. It was peeling and showed clear signs of ongoing water leaks along with visible mold. Photos were sent to VRBO for review. Guests should ask VRBO to confirm the leaks have been repaired and the mold removed before booking. We later learned these leaks have existed for about 18 months without a permanent fix, which is concerning from a health and safety standpoint.

The location was very convenient close to everything, it was clean. My corrective feedback will be for the host to fix the water leaking on the living room wall and the kitchen wall, it was a little inconvenient to come tired everyday from our outings to mop those areas because it was raining the first two weeks, it can also be dangerous because someone can slip on the wet floor. If that is fixed for the next guest I'm pretty sure they will enjoy this apartment a 100%.

Unfortunate Misleading Listing & Photos

Check in was easy, we just arrived and stayed. Unfortunately EVERYTHING she sent was in Spanish and when I told her I didn’t understand, she curtly told me to translate it myself. The front of the property matches the photo but the unit is in the back of the building on the porch. It is a patio window door with a lock, not a regular door. It was dirty with hair and dirt all over the bed sheets and floor. Someone’s male and female underwear was inside of all of the drawers and personal items in the bathroom cabinets so we kept our items in our bags. The stove had to be lit with a lighter each time. The dishes and pots were dirty as well as the rest of the kitchen. On day two the counters were covered in ants. The windows are cracked, the door and fixtures and TV are broken and there’s water damage everywhere including the dressers. We were so disappointed. We purchased our own cups plates and plastic wear. I’m not sure if I’ll do VRBO again. I have videos and photos. I don’t take my babies to stay in places like this.

Brenda was in contact with us from the very beginning. She helped us find our way when our Uber dropped us off at the wrong house, she messaged us back the new wifi password, and she even left us a second set of keys when we locked ourselves out. It was a wonderful VRBO and we would come back to stay here again!

Quiet, cozy apartment nestled in a small We stayed here three nights with no issues. Restaurants in the area were really good and the bakery was awesome. Right off the highway. And far enough away from San Juan to not be bothered with its traffic. Would definitely stay here again.

The only thing when we arrived at the location it was not the right location, i called the property owner and told her, she said alot of people get to that address because there 2 of the same. She was very helpful and I told her where we were at, she told us to get back on the main road and she would direct us while we were on the phone, in about 5 minutes we were at the right address.

Property was okay. Wasn’t what I expected or seen in pictures. Had trouble with insects such as cockroaches it made it very hard for me to try and sleep. Place had good AC. Just look very average. Host was good in communication and helpful. Other than that was the bugs in my stay.
