Everything went smoothly and all the things we wanted to do during our stay were within a 15-20 minute drive, giving us the ability to unwind in a quiet private setting at the end of our busy days. Family Fun

Great spot near Higgins Lake. There’s a big finished garage with the ping-pong table and games which was ideal for our family with three young boys so most of our time was spent out in the garage or the backyard. We loved it, very clean nice and roomy.

Spacious cozy house close to everything

We had a family wedding at the Barn at Higgins Lake and we went a couple days early since we had never been. We brought our UTV to check out the trails. Paul was very helpful with lots of information. We had two families (9 total) stay and there was plenty of space. The kids (all adult age) had a blast in the garage with the ping pong table. Loved the distance to the barn.

This was the perfect getaway. Home was wonderful and very clean. Plenty of space and things to do ~ ping pong, boardgames, bonfire and great space to play cornhole. Kitchen had everything we needed. Close drive to downtown Grayling and went to Rolling Oak Brewing & Paddle Hard brewing. Great spots! Paul was a pleasure to communicate with, thank you for everything, Paul!

We enjoyed our stay in Higgins Lake. Paul the property manager was fantastic. He answered all my questions in a timely manner and was very helpful with lake information. The house was very clean and had a great big kitchen table where our party of 9 could all sit down and eat together. We enjoyed the ping pong table and relaxing in the garage. We did use cookware and had plenty of Tupperware to use during your stay. We had two big pontoons that had amble parking. We enjoyed reading the guest book. Thanks for everything.

Great house

Our group of 9 loved this spacious well equipped, clean house. Big enough that we weren’t on top of each other. Plenty of room for corn hole in the back yard and ping pong in the garage. Communication was clear and check-in and check-out was a breeze. Neighborhood was very quiet. Recommend to other big groups.

Great Northern Michigan Weekend!

Stayed this past weekend in this rental. Found the rental very clean and the outside property neat and cared for. Plenty of room for large groups. Beds are comfortable and kitchen is fully equipped. The garage has been converted to a game/entertaining area. House is located on a quiet road but is close to Higgins Lake. The short ride to Higgins lake is very convenient. ORV trails and golf courses are nearby. Large backyard with a fire pit was a bonus. House appears recently updated.No problems communicating with the owners.

The perfect hub!

We LOVED our stay! Paul contacted us before we ever needed to contact him. We were even greeted with a special treat. The house was stocked with the things that you might not remember to bring-foil, coffee filters and coffee, first aid kit, spices, cooking spray, etc. If you were going to stay for a longer time then we did, you would want sugar and flour and oil for "dry" goods otherwise it was perfect. The description was spot on. Traverse City and Petoskey were close by and that was our goal to travel during the day and have a place to come back to every night. I wish we would have had more time for the lake and evening fires. This would be great to have family reunions, girls weekend, etc. I have been to Higgins lake so I think it helped that I knew the area a little but to get to the docks was very easy. My only complaint and it depends if it matters to you or not but I'm not sure the upstairs has central air so it was a little warm, but it has ceiling fans and portable fans. But I think that I would love to come back in the fall and that would not be a problem since the evenings in Roscommon are usually pretty cool. One of our best VRBOs and we will be back!

Super clean, newly updated, lots of space.

This home is very clean and has just been renovated. There is plenty of room for socializing and sleeping. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed. The hosts, Paul and Diane are great. They take great pride in their house and are very helpful. They even left a little welcome gift as a gesture of their appreciation for choosing their place. If you’re looking for a quiet place that’s close to the lake and trails, or just somewhere to get away from the hustle and bustle and have a bonfire, this is perfect and you won’t be disappointed.

Five-star host! Paul was a great host! Responded very quickly, and was very accommodating to our needs/requests. Check-in instructions were super detailed and helpful and we enjoyed all his recommendations for the area. The house was immaculate and well-stocked. We loved the 3 different seating rooms. Our group loved the finished garage with the ping pong table and had lots of room to play yard games in the large spacious backyard. We could not have asked for a better location close to Higgins Lake and close to the ATV/ORV trails. Overall a wonderful place, we would stay here again easily!
