Negative response

The house was good beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Alot of steps for small children to maneuver. The disappoint was the caved in pool and the eyesore it was every time you looked out at the beach. I never leave bad reviews but I believe there is a little something not exactly right when it takes 2-3 weeks to get the added on Grill fee back only after inquiring about it...then almost a month later getting an email from an insurance company about a claim submitted on our be half from homeowner claiming 1 fork and 1 spoon was missing and that the fridge shelf needed replacing( I have the documentation from homeowner that the fridge had flimsy shelves and not a good design). The house is great but check around because unfortunately it was way overpriced compared to the nearby newer and larger homes on the same section of beach! I feel if there was truly a problem the homeowner should have reached out to me before submitting insurance claims!!!

Amazing location, wonderful house

Ocean Breeze is a dream to stay at. We had a smaller group of 6 so didn’t use many of the bedrooms, but the location of the house was phenomenal. The beds and pillows were all really comfortable which is not guaranteed in a rental and the house felt like a home with all sorts of additional amenities thought of, including lots of towels. Pier passes were also included which was so nice and our kids went there each night to check the fish, watch dolphins and get ice cream. The hosts were extremely communicative and helpful. Absolutely would come back and recommend.

Just Bring Your Clothes!

Everything you need is included! A beautiful home, and the owner was just a text away. My family was very impressed with how complete this home was. From crab pots, to sand toys. Family games *loved playing sequence*, to the binoculars to watch the porpoise. This place is a perfect 10.

Great week at the beach

My family had a lovely week at the beach staying at Ocean breeze! There are gorgeous views, and the ocean is right there. The kitchen was well stocked. The pool has basically fallen in the sand, and I am still in shock that the homeowners offered no discount for the loss of that important amenity. The pool in the carport is not the same. Keep in mind that you have three floors to travel when grilling out. Also, with the “ocean breeze,”we all agreed that we should have packed an extra sweatshirt more than we thought we needed. It was pretty quiet in late August, but the beach does get a little crowded right there by the pier. Overall, we enjoyed the trip but for that price, we’ll probably stay somewhere else next time.

Family vacation

The house was in a great location and overall we had a great time. There are a few things that need upgraded or fixed. Either they were broken or on the verge of breaking. The 3rd floor shower curtain was completely disgusting. Some of the utensils were falling apart and flaking and need replaced. One of the blenders were broken. But again all minor things. Overall again great experience.

Celebration of a loved one

The house was on the beach which was a major draw. The in ground pool had been destroyed due to weather. The above ground pool was ok but the steps were not conducive to older and overweight people Location was great. Beach views were beautiful. Communication with the owner was good. The few problems we had were fixed quickly In all a great stay with beautiful memories

Great family Vacation

Perfect location for a beach trip and family get together. You can't be any closer to the beach and the pool is awesome. Inside the house has everything you need and the gas AND charcoal grills are great to have. If you can't climb stairs this is not for you but what a great trip our family (Grandma, Grandpa, 2 grown children and their spouses and 4 grandchildren) summer trip was like being in heaven! Our hosts were wonderful to speak to as well.

Absolute Perfection

I can not say enough wonderful things about this property. The location is superb, it’s close enough to attractions, stores, shops and restaurants but just far enough away that you’re not right in the middle of it. The views from any balcony or even the windows in this home are absolutely breathtaking. The home was so clean! This home is so well prepared for guests, Hilary and David have thought of it all! Communication with the owners is by far the best I have ever had with any vacation home. We will most definitely be returning without hesitation.

Prime location!

Best location for surfing! Dogs are allowed on the pier and the beach. No crowds. Pier lights illuminate the waves at night. House is spacious and very well laid out. Campfires allowed on beach. Pool lights up for night swimming. Fishing from pier without a license. Fishing supplies available at pier store. Free passes to pier available to renters.

Amazing

This was an amazing property! Close to everything but far enough away from everything at the same time. Everything you need is at the house, never need to leave or spend money elsewhere. Hot tub, pool, beach, pier, gorgeous house, sand dunes to explore. Would love to come again! Kids were ranged 10-17!

Beautiful Beachfront Property

We had a great stay. We loved having a hot tub, pool and beach all right out the back door. The living space was inviting, spacious and it was really nice to have a bathroom in each bedroom. Beds were comfortable. We had everything we needed. We also enjoyed walking on the pier, which was just steps away from the house. Saw people catching fish and stingrays. Saw dolphins off the back porch. Swam in the ocean. Water was clearer than we expected. The sunsets were beautiful!

**The perfect escape with friends**

This is such a beautiful spot! It was the perfect place to get away for the week with friends. The house had everything you needed to enjoy a week away with friends, kids (4yo and 13yo), and dogs. The owners are incredibly thoughtful and thorough. Hilary was a gem to communication and coordinate every aspect of our trip with. We all loved the pool and being right on the beach. We definitely plan to return for make future memories in Rodanthe.

Unforgettable experience

Hilary and David were amazing hosts. The property was comprehensive- we wanted and needed for nothing. The house was very clean, well appointed, and the location was simply amazing. Nothing beats the subsets and sunrises from their multiple decks! Our family had a wonderful vacation there!

Nice House, great location

We had a great vacation with are adult children and young grandkids! Awesome location by the pier, especially great if you love to fish. The owners were delightful to work with! Highly recommend if looking for a relaxing vacation!

The perfect beach house

We love Rodanthe and the Avon area as it is quieter than the northern towns of the Outer Banks. And Ocean Breeze is perfect the house. Absolutely spotless. Comfortable furniture. And the kitchen has many cooking and baking tools, even rolling pins and a hand mixer! Decks with endless ocean views and one on the sound side for sunsets. Hosts were very responsive to a few questions we had. Our grandchildren’s first time at the ocean and playing on the beach right on the water was perfect. The fishing pier makes for great sunrise photos. Still too cool in late March for swimming but the hot tub was great. Easy trips for groceries, Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and a very cool pirate ship playground just to the north. Loggerheads at the Pea Island Nature Preserve.

Amazing house with amazing views

Just finished a week at Ocean Breeze at it was spectacular. (And we’re pretty picky) We had never been to Rodanthe or the Outer Banks and I must say we got lucky. It really is the best house on the beach as I didn’t see another in either direction with a pool and strategically perfect views of the sunrises and sunsets from the 6 balconies it has. It’s sad the erosion of beach has taken out so we were happy to have one with all these amenities with plenty of beach still existing. We’re foodies who like to cook and kitchen was well equipped to do so. Owners couldn’t be nicer and were very responsive to the minor requests we made once there. We would definitely stay here again. Literally the perfect beach house and hated leaving!

Rodanthe Getaway

I've been vacationing to Rodanthe for over 20 years with my family, and I've used multiple realtors and stayed in multiple homes. This home was by far the best home we've ever stayed in. Location is priceless and the lay out of the home and bedrooms are perfect for a large family. To experience a sunrise in this home can only be described as spiritual and something you will never forget. The owners of the property are very personal people and take the time to make sure you have everything you need. They are professional and are prompt with returning messages, my experience with them was excellent. I would recommend this home to other family and friends. You will not be disappointed.

OBX family reunion

We would give this property 6 stars out of 5 if we could. Simply amazing spot for a family beach vacation at the outer banks with great fishing, surfing, and swimming. The house has everything you could ask for and more. Very thoughtfully done and could not have been easier to relax and enjoy the beach. View is spectacular. We hope to be back soon.
