Stay at Elena!

Elena is small single room, With a small but adequate shower, it's a bit hard to maneuver in but was hot and clean. Everything spotless and clean, view was superb especially for price, nice laminate floors no icky carpet. Wifi drops out occasionally but you just have to renter username and password. Can easily hear neighbors with the marble floors so try and be respectful. Morning coffee and breakfast on the patio overlooking the sea was so pleasant.

Pleasant stay, but WiFi, bed & pillows: rated 2/3

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at hotel Elena to wast hours the fireworks very much. The real negatives were the mattress and the pillows that were awful and the archaic internet that required continuous signing on, at least 15 to 20 times a day!!! The personnel rating between 3.5 and 4.5. Good job!

Good for an overnight stay

One night stay without dinner. We took dinner on the town which has several appealing restaurants. However the breakfast was excellent on a communal balcony overlooking the sea. Recco is a pretty town just round the corner from Rapallo. We have been back for overnight stays four times! Parking is limited however but not a severe drawback.

Good location and lovely views!

We stayed one night during our road trip around Italy and although it was not beach season, it was still wonderful to stay in a room with a sea view. The rooms are okay and the bathrooms are quite small but the view is quite lovely. The breakfast was good on the outside terrace, and the parking on-site was convenient. Good value for your money.

Too small for comfort

Although this hotel is in a great location, our room was very disappointing--very small and no room for any amenities, such as a mini refrigerator or a pot to make coffee or tea. The bathroom was so small there was no room to put anything down, and you could barely turn around in the shower. On the positive side, there was a lovely buffet breakfast with a large variety of pastries, rolls, fruit, coffee, tea, and cafe latte; and the staff was very helpful and anxious to please.

Really nice hotel.

Close to town and beach (5 mins walk),clean and comfy beds, good assortment at breakfast, use carpark at rear as not much room by side of hotel. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Old and dirty

the rooms were so fragranced to cover the smell of cigarette smoke that it made me feel ill. We pulled back the cover on the bed to find hairs on the sheets. We could not have gotten out any earlier the following morning and will not be going back.

My 4th trip to this hotel in six years. The location is great with lovely views,breakfast is fab and the staff, especially Domenico couldn't be more helpful. We will hopefully be returning again

A quiet location with a great view of Recco

We enjoyed staying at the Hotel Elena. We booked on Expedia but didn't have a choice of a balcony room which we tried to get, unsuccessfully, on arrival. We enjoyed the location very much. Missed having tissues in our room though-just a small thing, & missed having an inroom safe.
