Very busy car park on a Saturday night. Clean room though decor a bit dated. Mould in corner of bathroom ceiling and bath plug drained very slowly. Comfy beds which were nice and firm. Fridge, microwave, plates and cutlery provided. Could hear traffic noise from the room. Got the room at a very reasonable price so will consider again in future.

My room was at the back of the Stables building, and the adjacent property had a load of rubbish dumped in the garden after what I’d guess was some refurbishment….it looked like a builder’s unkept yard. The room was extremely dated and seems to have remained untouched since the 70’s, maybe 80’s. The toilet seat wouldn’t stay up, which is quite frustrating for a man. The heated towel rail looked unsafe, with burn marks at the connector. Notwithstanding, it was mostly clean (except for one of the bath towels that had brown stains on it, and the carpet which you could feel bits of dirt underfoot and could do with thorough vacuuming), and cheap. It’s in a good location close to The Oracle, and might be OK if/when on a tight budget, but I don’t plan on staying there again.

Absolutely shocking, massively overcharged!

Charged £243 so assumed it would be high end accommodation but was more like student digs/a hostel and would have found £100 too expensive. The hotel and room was very tired, grubby and felt dirty. The windows were very difficult to open and the bathroom was so old, having a shower the nob came off so couldn’t switch it off. The walls were filthy and the whole suite needs completely ripping out and replacing. I feel like I’ve been charged the rate of a high end London hotel for an awful experience … so disappointed and feeling robbed

Clean and basic hotel

Cleanliness was very good. This hotel is dated and seems to be a base for builders and other tradesmen. The beds were very comfortable and a family room of a double and two proper single beds was welcome rather than converted sofa bed that is usually how family rooms are constructed. There was a wall mounted fan but this was not enough in our current hot spell of weather but we had additional fans in the car so didn't ask for more fans from staff. Continental breakfast is buffet style but cooked breakfast needed to be ordered. However, cooked breakfast was very tasty. Orange juice was awful, tasting like the cheapest watered down variety. One young woman was running breakfast, she was excellent in every way. Dining room was very dated, the chairs were stained and looked very worn out. Rooms have a normal sized fridge (not a hotel sized fridge) and microwave which was very useful. WIFI was free and worked well. Parking was also free. Surprised that when I returned my key cards to reception, they didn't ask how our stay was. Fine accommodation for an overnight stay.

Only stayed for one night , comfortable bed clean room and bathroom but smelt as if someone had been smoking in the room and they had tried to cover it up. Only a problem if I opened the doors to the sink/microwave etc. Breakfast ok but coffee cold and I was told to heat it up in the microwave, that's what it was there for!

Very friendly welcome from Keera in reception, who was eager to ensure we had an appropriately comfortable room for our age. The bed was comfortable, the facilities convenient, the linen and towels all clean.
