I was given a key to a room with someone in it, I woke the person up opening the door. I felt so let down I did not stay and left the hotel, taking my children on the 6.5 hour drive home as I did not want to stay in the hotel. I would like a full refund due to the above.

I heard a few bad reviews so I was a bit apprehensive about booking . The moment I arrived at the reception it did take a few moments for the staff to allocate a room but it wasn’t a long wait I was approached with smiles . The staff are friendly and always helpful . The room was exceptionally clean , equipped with a microwave /fridge freezer and cutlery /mugs /tea and coffee /milk and a kettle . I slept like a baby . No Air conditioner but a fan but to be fair it’s a 3 star hotel so I wasn’t expected an AC although it would have been great (lol). Breakfast was decent . Please do not go by the reviews on here , book it and experience it for yourself . I don’t know what people were really expecting for a 3 star hotel but I was genuinely impressed.

Special thanks to Christine on reception, although all the staff were cheerful and helpful. We were in the older buildings which were very scruffy and untidy around the grounds. Moved from first room due to unbearable heat, second room much better but nowhere to put clothes that were not on a hanger. Bath very slippy, beware !! Needs a safety met.

carpets in the hall ways were filthy

It was okay for a couple of hours, I was in Oxfordshire filming, I arrived late, the receptionist was okay, room was small and contained, VERY hot in the room, luckily it had a fan. I was back up and on my way at 6:00am, No breakfast provided but coffee and tea was available in my room.
