Really comfy bed and clean room - only downside is the area around the hotel being on the dodgy side, and the bathroom had a bit of a sewage smell. But such good value for money

The staff team and cleanliness was very good. Location was excellent and it was easy to get to the train station. Breakfast was ok..the hot chocolate was delicious. Suggestions: muffins and non microwaved scrambled eggs (because they tasted hard), and the option to have fried eggs, seeded bread and grapes.

Tired rooms with maintenance issues

Stayed two different nights in one week and had issues in each room. First night the tap was loose fitting and moved each time you changed temperature. The air con wouldn’t cool the room so had to keep window open which was noisy. The second night after unpacking we found the tv wasn’t working. This is the second time this has happened. Got moved to a new room where the shower sits in the holder, it wasn’t tight so the shower head was not at the right angle and only pointed down so had to be held to have a shower. The area around the base of the tap was dirty/mouldy. All rooms we were in looked tired and needed a refresh and bit of maintenance. The best thing about the hotel is the location.

We had a lovely three day holiday. The room was perfect,very clean.The only thing wrong was the television did’t work. We reported this on Friday night,and it was suppose to get fixed the next day but it never was repaired.

Friday night stay with friends

Air handler was very noisy and had to be shut down and window opened . This was then accompanied by noise from Friar street overnight . Bed was good with power and usb by the bed , shower cubicle was clean and functioning well

Great location

Great location for bars/restaurants and shops, parked in broad street mall car park where if you hand your ticket in at reception you get discounted parking £7 for overnight stay
