The building is off the beaten path & a little scary coming into in the dark, but even the back parking lot is decently lit with easy access into the building after hours. The nicest family runs the place & they weren’t just nice to me. (Someone tried to check in before me on Mom’s Weekend & that person had inadvertently booked for the wrong weekend. The hotel was booked up for Mom’s Weekend but were working to find her somewhere to stay for a reasonable price.) The double bed room was big, super clean (solid blue carpeting would show any filth & there was none), the bathroom was outdated but in good condition & again, VERY clean. It’s a straight shot to the Urbana side of UIUC (although there were at least 4 squad cars parked along 45 Saturday night of Moms Weekend… seemingly looking to catch people speeding/driving when they shouldn’t have been.) I absolutely would stay there again.

My 15-year-old loves staying at hotels, so once a month or so I will get us a room here for the weekend for a little mini getaway. We live about an hour away, so it’s just far enough that it’s something different where we can see the town, and the rooms are always immaculate, and the staff is super friendly. I was very pleasantly surprised at the breakfast options which included waffles, eggs, bacon, etc. We’ve stayed here three times already and will definitely be back. My daughter says it’s her favorite hotel ever and we have stayed at very fancy hotels at Disney and universal, but there is something about this hotel that is just very homie and comforting. It also helps that it’s super cheap. Haha

Clean. Quiet. 2 bottles of water and Starbucks coffee in room. Great price. Comfortable bed. Plenty of towels. No elevator so they gave me a room on first floor for the same price. Would definitely stay again.
