Highly recommend this hotel. Our entire stay was amazing. Super comfy bed even though it was two beds pushed together. Views were great ! The location close to town and bus stop right outside. Would stay there again !

First time at the Heritage and we loved it. Great views. Room was big and comfortable. Best shower with instant hot water. We didn’t have a car but the bus service at the front of the hotel is excellent to get to and back from town every 15 minutes. We have booked to go back in two months time.

Take a Breath

A last minute booking that we are glad we made. Even though staff were super busy with bus loads arriving and unpacking as we arrived, they were cool, calm and collected. Attended to our booking promptly. The room wasn’t ready so we received drink vouchers so we could chill whilst we waited near an open fire. We could park our car undercover for $15, which was appreciated. Lift and stair access to our Lakeview Room. Huge room with separate lounge, bedroom and bathroom . Two full lounges for seating, dining table and chairs, kitchen facilities. Laundry facilities behind closet door in dining/kitchen area (bonus). We dined in the restaurant and enjoyed the hospitality and food. Checkout was quick am Nd seamless. Thank you for accepting us last minute, we thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation and the spectacular view from our room.

We were totally underwhelmed by this hotel. We booked it because the reviews are good, but honestly felt we must have been in a different place to the reviews! Hotel felt old and worn. The walk to town is long with a long hill hike coming back. It’s $15 per night for parking. We didn’t get our complimentary drinks and had to ask for them. Reception seemed chaotic. We requested twin beds and didn’t get them. The pool was chilly. The water pressure in the shower was crazy strong and water sprayed all over the bathroom when you put the shower on. The toiletries in the bathroom were meagre. Overall we were disappointed and although the stay was fine, we wouldn’t go back. We didn’t book a lake view room and perhaps you get treated as second class if you don’t! Next time I’d look for something closer to the centre of town. Queenstown, however, we loved and would happily go back and spend longer time in.

LIKE: Beautiful setting, large mini suites. Very good meals and dinner menu selection. Cooked to order eggs are very well done. Pleasant and helpful staff. Need improvement: Breakfast hot choices from buffet service tend to be overcooked (scrambled eggs, potatoes and sausages). Breakfast croissants and pastries are not always fresh. Room cleaning is very satisfactory, however, tiled floor cleaning and touch points on doors and cabinets need regular cleaning. Decor needs updating.

Quiet and Restful

3 nights in Queenstown after doin Otago Rail Trail. Room was comfortable and quiet but servicing a little bit and miss, almost 4pm one day and I don’t believe the carpet saw a vacuum cleaner throughout. Front desk and bar/restaurant staff were friendly and efficient. Overall pretty good value for money but a little remote from Queenstown centre.
