Great Cabin

It was a great cabin! We really enjoyed how spacious it was and it was a great home base as we attended a wedding nearby. Would book again!

Beautiful view

Great spot, peaceful, but close enough to spend a day at the national Mall. So close to vineyards and breweries.

Beautiful house and perfect location!

This house was perfect for our Virginia winery weekend with friends! It had all the basic amenities and was spacious, so we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. The view from the deck is beautiful, especially to watch the sunrise. And the sauna was amazing! I also thought the location was perfect - super close to Harper's Ferry and wineries. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to explore this area.

Amazing Weekend Getaway for Large Group

We had a wonderful time staying here! The house and property are gorgeous, and our group of ten fit comfortably. Easy access to Harpers Ferry and right down the road from several wineries. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a nice meal, and we spent hours catching up lounging on the comfortable couch. Would definitely stay again!

We went to high school class of 1971 and we take a trip together once a year.

Lots of laughs, good food and a few beverages, the time went to fast. We really like it and will most likely stay again.

Wedding Home Base

Our daughter’s wedding reception was at Gordon Springs; only 3 miles from the house! It was perfect! The house is gorgeous and the owners are wonderful! We will definitely be back!

Great group home. Birthday weekend with friends was fabulous at this home

Home is perfect for a group gathering. Feels like you are immersed in the woods. Kitchen is well equipped for staying in and cooking or relaxing after a day out. Great communication with owner and caregiver! Go to this home! Plenty to do in the area

50th bday girls weekend!

The house is more beautiful and amazing than pictured! Our party included 6 ladies and we were all able to have our own beds and privacy. Gorgeous home on gorgeous property. Balcony was amazing. Close to hikes and wineries. We all fell in love with house and plan to return!!

Had a great time!

The house is beautiful and has almost everything you will need for your stay (towels, kitchen utensils, etc.) It is in a beautiful location in the woods, though it is a bit out there. We were within 30 minutes to an hour of all activities we had planned for the weekend though and there is plenty to do! Only 20 minutes from Harper's Ferry and the feeling of seclusion, you can't beat it! Also the morning view is amazing. The resident above the garage did not contact us at all, it was like they weren't even there. Host was nice enough to let us check in early to decorate before the bride arrived too! Overall very happy with my stay.

Pretty and Secluded

The house is spacious and adorable, and my friends and I had a really lovely stay. We felt secluded up in the mountains (with a gorgeous view out of the HUGE windows) and made good use of our time in the house winding down from a vineyard days with grilling on the deck or playing board games. The only two things that stick out as not perfect about the property is we couldn’t find a non wooden cutting board (don't use wood for raw chicken, friends) and the claw foot tub on the main floor bath shifted a bit while you were showering, making it feel a little unstable. But otherwise, the views out here are amazing and our stay was absolutely lovely.

Exceptional stay, exceptional views

This was a top notch stay. Everything was perfect. 12/10! The house is beautiful. The views are stunning. You pull up and think you are in the wrong place bc it’s a dirt gravel road, but it’s just bc it’s a bit secluded. Yet, you are around the corner from a ton of vineyards! Right on the Appalachian trail, the house is stacked with all of the amenities. Soap, shampoo, toilet paper, towels, linens, and even a coffee maker. We had 8 girls in the house. Even though there are 6 beds, there was plenty of room! The property manager was super responsive when we needed more towels and couldn’t figure out how to open the garage bay (oops) to take out the trash! I’d come back here 1,000 times over! Obsessed with this house! It was the easiest stay and checkout process!

Great location, great house, great stay

We had a group of 7 people staying for three nights and were very pleased with the house and location. The fireplace in the main room is a wonderful part of the experience, especially on a cold and snowy weekend like we had. There is plenty of room, especially if you utilize the downstairs TV room in addition to the main floor. It's an easy drive from DC, and once you are at the house it is an easy drive (10 minutes) to grocery stores at Charles Town. While the house itself truly feels "in the woods" and you can hike limitlessly to the AT and beyond, you are really not very far from a lot of amenities. When booking we were a bit concerned if the tenant living on the property would be an issue and would affect our feeling of privacy, but that was not the case whatsoever. It was a total non-factor.Overall - highly recommended, we would return.

Beautiful mountain home!

Beautiful, well kept house with an amazing view! Easy to find, easy “check in” process. The main level has two bedrooms and a shared bath, lower level has 2 bedrooms and a shared bath as well as bar and family room. One bedroom is in an open loft/3rd floor area. There is no master bedroom available or bedroom with an en-suite. Beds were very comfortable with soft linens. After hiking all day we slept quite well! Claw foot soaking tub in the main level bath and a shower downstairs. One large TV in the house which is on the lower level. We found the Appalachian trail pretty easily by looking at the info provided by the owner and our All Trails app. The owners left a bottle of wine and welcome book which was very considerate! Of note-there is an on-site long term tenant on the property (who was not home most of our stay ). The apartment is in the detached garage which is close to the house but has a separate entrance. We did not have any concerns but good to know in advance if you want the whole property to yourselves. BYO Kuerig if you want, they provide a traditional coffee maker and even a bean grinder. If you want to watch TV in the main area you may want to bring that as well. Would definitely recommend considering this home for your vacation!
