Cons:
-check in took a while
-Was initially difficult to get dinner reservations since we were not a part of Diamond Club
- some bathrooms were very dirty or not working around the pools
-rooms were very nice but some areas need some TLC
- buffets need some work
PROS:
- Estalin, our Expedia Concierge really made our trip! Initially we were unable to get reservations for dinner, but Estalin helped us out, was very easy to communicate with all week, was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had!
-Estalin even went above and beyond for 2 different people in our large group - 1 was celebrating a birthday and another couple an anniversary, and he had their room decorated and special surprises at dinner or in their room! It was very appreciated and showed his attention to detail
- dinners were good- but favs were appetizers at Oceanside, dinner at Zen Tempenyaki, Rio Brazilian Steakhouse !
- servers at all restaurants and all the bartenders were extremely friendly!
- kids and adults loved the lazy river!!! The slides looked small but people of all ages were enjoying them on repeat! Bring your own floats if you want them, you can even bring a ball to throw around
- Alberto was also helpful with dinners and getting us into the waterpark next door!
Definitely go with tempered expectations as service could be slow as my biggest complaint (but I have found that with other fancy hotels in Punta Cana as well), but it is very family friendly!
