Got there, went to the pool and they were green...next day you could smell the cholrine, so clearly not daily maintenance...went to eat buger the first afternoon, no silverware to eat with. Asked for bottled water in the room, took a full day to get it delivered after 3 calls.

Our stay at the Ocean El Faro Resort in Punta Cana was absolutely beautiful and relaxing. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and peaceful. The grounds were stunning, and everything was well-maintained.The staff truly made our experience even better. Everyone we encountered was respectful, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. A special thank you to our concierge, Jose Jimenez, who went above and beyond from our second night onward. He helped us every evening with restaurant reservations and was always available to answer any questions or assist with the daily activities at the resort. His service was exceptional and greatly appreciated. My family and I genuinely enjoyed every moment. In fact, my kids even asked if we could extend our stay — that says it all! This resort is a fantastic choice for families with both younger and older children. There’s entertainment every night, and if that’s not your thing, there are games and activities spread throughout the resort to keep everyone engaged. Overall, this was a memorable vacation, and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Highly recommend for families looking for a fun and relaxing getaway!

Ocean El Faro was exactly what we needed for our situation - several families with a LOT of kids. We felt safe letting them roam the resort, get food when they needed it, and go in and out of the pools. We also didn't have any experiences with people walking up to us on the beach trying to sell things like at other resorts in the Caribbean. Would absolutely recommend for a relatively affordable vacation with multiple families with kids of varying ages.

Nice and clean resort with excellent staff and service. We enjoyed food and pools, but unforyunatelly we could not use the beach, since there was so much sea weed that you couldn't enter the ocean. We learned that Punta Cana,s Atlantic coast gets a lot of sea weed during summer months. I wish we knew this before we booked our vacation. Overall, we had a great time in the resort.

The staff are excellent, but in the pool they were recycling the plastic cup, very upset. I paid for a room with 2 bed, there was 1 king bed and 1 sofa bed, there was a hole in the middle of the sofa bed. I will never repeat this resort.

This is an okay resort. Food was average. Very salty at times. The buffet never had napkins and we spent many days without a waiter coming to bring us water or asking what drinks we wanted. Don’t get me started on the restaurants. You can only get a reservation if you wake up at 6am or if you’re privelage. Otherwise, get ready to eat at the buffet every single day. Rooms need an upgrade. I could tell it was nice when they were new but now you can see the wear and tear everywhere. Rips in the bed, missing door handles in the bathroom. The light went out 4 times during our stay. I know this is common in DR and it didn’t really interrupt our stay but it was odd for that to happen in a resort. The service started out good but declined throughout our stay.y family is from the Dominican Republic so I know the language well. Staff would argue around us constantly. Very unprofessional in the way they communicated to each other. The pool was nice and they had relaxing areas and party areas. It did look very merky like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Overall I rate this hotel a 5/10. It’s okay but I wouldn’t come back.

Had a wonderful trip! Kevin was the guest experience specialist that was appointed to us at check-in.Kevin was professional, personable and quick to respond to texts and anything that we needed. Our housekeeper was wonderful. The only thing that was disappointing was that we couldn’t use the beach because there was a lot of seaweed.
