Clean property, family friendly, great entertainment for all ages, food was good, drinks at the bars could be better, lazy river is great for all ages. Our only issue was the pool towels, you had to wait for hours or a day to get any available. Reynaldo our concierge was awesome, he helped us a lot with restaurant’s reservations and pool towels.

The hotel and its staff were excellent and very friendly. One observation: the poolside food area, in addition to burgers, should offer more options such as pizza or snacks. Also, in the evenings, there should be more options for children—not just on one day.

Staying here was great. The facility is beautiful, open, spacious, and VAST! While there is a lot of walking, they make up for it with continuous golf carts going around the facility and can request a ride in the app/website. The room was beautiful and clean. It had a nice king-size bed, spacious area to sit inside and out, double-sink, and dual-showerheads. ;-) Dining options were fantastic to choose from and so much we didn’t get thru all of them (mainly because we enjoyed the Italian restaurant a lot). The staff was extremely friendly and fun. Some notable mentions. Dauris from El Beso Beach bar such a fun guy when making your drinks. Edward was very nice and had a good memory on your drinks. Roberto from Dolce Vita was always excited to see my wife and I and made sure we were taken care of each time. Lastly, Privileged was worth every penny. It comes with your personal butler and ours, José, was fantastic. Anything you need (within reason) or had an issue, he took care of. It made our experience stress-free. 🙂 A couple of small annoyances I will mention that didn’t take away from this being a 5-star place, but could help the resort enhance the experience for others. 1. The whole resort lost power a couple of times, which was weird but it came back on within a few minutes. 2. Vendors they bring onto the resort in the Plaza Area, very pushy. That part did make us upset and have to find ways to avoid them. 3. Music on El Beso side too loud at times. We’ll be back. 🙂

I had a great time at this property, the staffs were all super friendly and the food and drinks was great. The room was clean and beautiful and our view was awesome. There is always something going on within the resort so if you don’t want to leave for outside activities, you really don’t have to. Overall, great experience.

I truly enjoyed my stay. The staff was top notch good and the entertainment they give at night was fun. The food at the restaurants that require reservation was delicious. The all you can eat buffet was so so and was hit or miss during my stay. The one thing that was an issue for me and apparently has been an issue for many years from what I was told by the staff is that many of the bathrooms flood when showering because the flooring for some of the showers were not properly pitched causing the water to spill or leak onto the rest of the bathroom.

I took my daughter here on Spring Break and our 5 day stay was absolutely phenomenal, from the moment we walked in the service was superb and it continued throughout our stay! The team consistently checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed! Another plus is this resort is TRULY ALL INCLUSIVE, there is soooo much going on all day/night! I highly recommend and cannot wait to return!

I had an incredible time at Ocean El faro, every employee was very approachable. Had the help of José Miguel Jimenez, as a Expedia concierge. His attention to detail was on point, he made every reservation, reached out to us at check in and helped us check out too. I would recommend traveling to RD with Expedia,and going to El Faro. First day Jose helped us making reservation for Japanese rest, then on Saturday we went to the Steakhouse and sunday my husband scheduled a romantic dinner at the Privileged Area!

Excellent Hotel. Only negative thing is there's staff waiting outside the restaurant to sell their membership. This is a hassle. Other than that, everything is good.

I liked the cleanliness of the property and the ability to walk late at night and feel safe. What I didn't like was the greeting at the front. I came in late. I noticed a family in front of me was offered a hand towel, and I was not offered one. My room smelled old, and that gave me migraines, causing me to stay in my room for two days. I did get a dehumidifier, which made the room smell better. One night, I had no electricity, but they did fix it. Some of the staff are not very pleasure.

Overall this resort is great! We stayed in the adult only area which was well worth it! The rooms are very large and well taken care of. The jet tub was magnificent! It on and off rained while we visited but we still were able to get some sun and pool time. If you’re looking for an all inclusive, this is a great option.

This resort was incredible! With so many activities to do and lots of restaurants. Thank you to Jose(our butler), he made sure everything went well for us. Sent pickups to our room when we needed them and made reservations for restaurants and was just there for us every step of our trip. Super quick on responding to you as well. If anybody goes highly recommend asking for Jose. Awesome job!

My family and I had a wonderful time at Ocean El Faro. The lazy river and pool bar were really nice and the beach area was gorgeous. There were ample dining options and the buffet was great, with many different food types. Our stay was enhanced by our Expedia concierge, Jose. He made dinner reservations for us each night, ensured that we had everything we needed in the room, and even had a chair swing placed on our balcony upon request. He checked in multiple times a day to make sure we had everything we needed. Our vacation was definitely improved through José’s efforts. The rest of the staff was great as well. We would definitely vacation again at this resort.
