We love excellence in punta cana. However, because the hotel was being renovated the buffet was only open for breakfast and the dining options were sub par. Many of the dining places left you feeling less than satisfied. The only restaurant i enjoyed was Spice and becausee you had to reserve i was only able to eat there once at 9:45! Besides that hotel was clean, setvice was great - staff is very attentive. Room was immaculate. Bed was comfortable pillows not so much. Pool was clean. Beach was wonderful.

We loved the atmosphere, the attentiveness of the staff and the amenities. Customer was excellent especially Hector and Ramon the bartenders. We didn’t like the beach it had way too much seaweed but the pools were beautiful enough that we didn’t miss the beach too much.

Upon entering Excellence Punta Cana, we were greeted by a receptionist that provide us a cold towel, while taking our bags, and directing us to the front desk. The view of the the ocean was visible, at this point, and it was incredible! After checking in with the hotel receptionist, we were immediately upgraded from a garden view location to a private pool location view, at no additional charge. We were only asked to rate the reception at a secure Excellence website. Needless to say, the receptionist was very helpful and provided us a great deal of information. The service at this hotel was amazing. The food was spectacular, and everyone that worked at the hotel, we had interactions with, were very friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to be around. The housekeeping staff dud an incredible job and they were always done by the time we returned in the afternoon, before leaving again. We have been to Punta Cana, on several occasions, for vacation and stayed at many different resorts. This, by far, was the most comfortable, enjoyable, relaxing, and beautiful! The entertainment provided at night was also quite spectacular. Finally, the views of the ocean from the situated shaded seating/resting areas were almost unreal. He would highly recommend my excellence experience to anyone. I know I will be returning there again soon.

We stayed at the Excellence Punta Cana for 5 days. On the second day, the room safe was broken into and money was stolen. The property management did nothing to solve the problem. I requested for the police to get involved but they said they would handle it. At the end of our stay, all they said was that the mater was still being investigated. Aaron Lozano, general manager, never addressed the issue with us personally and Esperanza Alcantara, guest services manger send other employees to talk to us when we requested on update on the situation. We are extremely unsatisfied with our stay at this resort and we alert anyone to stay clear of the Excellence Resort. PS. The beach at this resort is not swimmable as it’s too rough and they always a red flag.The lifeguards DO NOT ALLOW anyone to swim in it. The liquor offer as the all inclusive is bottom shelve liquor and the food is mediocre.
