Overall our stay at Barcelo Bavaro was amazing. We have enjoyed all the activities, food and atmosphere, all was quiet and relaxing . The theater performing was ok, will need some type of improvement so doesn’t look to repetitive. We love to come back sometime in the near future.

The hotel is beautiful, but too big. Our room was extremely far from the main lobby and the walk way was very dark. The food was average, at best. Always cold even in the speciality restaurants. The place is gorgeous, they spent tons of money on the decor but thr food was just ok. If you're into massive resorts, then this is the one for you. Again the resort is absolutely beautiful, but the food and drinks were just average.

I recently took a trip with my family and had a great experience overall. As soon as we checked in as a premium level guests, we Felt so good right away.definitely booking a premium level room is worth it. Special Thanks to Jesus, jesus was our host. He was very helpful and amazing. From making reservations to the restaurants and helping with every small detail. The resort itself is huge, with lots of pools and an amazing water park that's perfect for kids. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The only downside was the beach. A lot of seaweeds and Bad smells. But aside from that, we had a fantastic time and made lots of great memories

It was a huge resort and we loved our room (we barely were in our room because there was so much to do) the service was okay and the food wasn’t great but I would still go back just because of the resort itself !

The resort is great. We practically stayed at the premises for the duration of our time. The resort is very clean; the rooms are super amazing and had plenty of entertainment for every guest. The only thing I would have hoped was to have more bilingual employees who was able to communicate in English. Besides that, we had a great time at the resort.

1. There were too many seaweed, there were dead fish on shore, quality of ocean water was not ideal. Location and ocean water color is not anything like Soana island. Food quality is as you tube says, mediocre. Cleaning staff and waitress staff are superb and hard working. Bowling is 15 dollars per person. It's hard to get into restaurants for reservations. Zhumba at activities center was fun. Towels are 20 dollars each if you lose 1. There were no fresh coconuts to drink when we were there. Arcades are not free, some water park activities at the resort with slides are not free, non motorized water sports are not all free. Barcelo needs improvement in food quality, they need to remove the seaweed and dead fish on shore, all nonmotorized water sports should be free, process should be easier to get into desired restaurants to eat with for family reunions. Staff should all get raises for their hard work, especially waitress and waitresses and all people who make the hotel run efficiently like those who clean the rooms and fix the buildings. When staff are happy, customers are happy, its a dynamo effect. Coke didn't taste right at times. Coffee machines at buffets don't taste right. They don't have cream. The coffee and rum place has good coffee but they don't open untip 4pm. Who drinks coffee at 4pm? Let's use common sense. Contact eye solution cost 20 dollars for travel size. WTH!
