From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome—friendly, attentive, and always happy to accommodate any request with a smile. Their hospitality alone sets this place apart. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, the perfect way to start the day before heading out to explore. The hotel has a unique, eclectic vibe that feels both stylish and relaxed—charming without trying too hard. Located just three blocks from the beach, it’s close enough for easy access yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to truly unwind. Plus, you’re steps away from excellent restaurants and lively bars, so everything you need is right there. This place strikes the perfect balance between convenience, comfort, and character. No frills room, a place to sleep.

This is a basic hotel, no frills. We stayed for 3 nights to be in town after being on Playa Negra for 3 nights. Beds and bathroom are basic but suffice. Hot water is questionable, but honestly a nice cool shower after sweating all fay is fine by me. Breakfast was adequate, check in was smooth. Other reviewers noted the lack of tv (we had room 8, a king bed with balcony) but we didn't even use the tv in the beachfront hotel, so not a big deal to us. Wifi was stable. Security seemed ok, although the balcony door didn't lock and door too room was flumsy and being eaten by carpenter ants. But all was what we expected for the cost.

The staff was beyond kind at this property. Our rooms were always clean when we got back from activities, breakfast was great, and I felt really safe! The location couldn’t have been better!

Stayed at the traditional house/apartment that has 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. All three bedrooms have air conditioning. The living, kitchen areas and bathrooms do not have AC. There are a few bugs/insects around which is to be expected but they don’t bother you. Note that Breakfast is No Longer offered by them or included in the room rate which was disappointing. Otherwise a good property - reasonably clean and in a very good location in Puerto Viejo.

Very very ordinary, not a tower

Room #8 is clean but tired (lots of chipped paint, loose tiles). Very sombre. No decoration on the walls not even a sad mass-produced framed poster. No TV. No drinking glasses. Bed was very, very hard. It's only two stories high, not a tower at all. Hotel has 0 amenities and 0 public spaces. It's 3 blocks from downtown and beach so easily walked to restaurants, bars, shops, laundry.

The hotel is in a great location, seems like you are in a rainforest. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic and the staff was great. You can walk everywhere. The hotel is clean and refreshed however you can still tell they have things to do…ie. the shower head was hanging from a rope, there wasn’t a mini fridge and no tv.

It is a very clean place with a very nice breakfast it is clean and staff is friendly very good for the price. My only dislikes it was a basement room (no balcony per description) water pressure temperature is terrible. Again very nice place for the price.

great rooms. my room had the biggest bed ive ever seen, with ac, a fan, a large shower and a perfect little private patio. Only a five minute walk from the main part of town and the beach. Breakfast was good but not the most flavourful. There wasn't always staff at the reception counter and they won't be there if you check in after 8.

Good hotel, fantastic breakfast!

Great hotel room, spacious with a little outdoor balcony. It got noisy around 6am from the Kitchen, but otherwise a nice stay. Breakfast was lovely, onsite parking was easy, and we were able to check in late at night which was appreciated.

Staff was very friendly, it was Sunday night and they do not have any drinking water in Hotel went and walked around but no place was open. also the rooms are very noisy can hear everything from the rooms next to you and below.
