Staff is very nice as are the rooms basically, but it is on the third floor of an office building. No staff at night at all . Accommodating if you arrive late on day of arrival , but they close at 1:00PM on Sunday . Can’t even store bags after that time.

Very good in the decent basic hotel category. Clean, quite spacious, tea, coffee and an armchair in the room. Pleasant breakfast space. Very well located for both the bus station and the old town. Like many cheaper Finnish hotels, doesn’t have 24-hour desk coverage, though staff when there were efficient and polite.

Breakfast was good, not outstanding. Our room was clean and the sauna was great! Can't beat the location for walking around town and the old part of BorgÄ. The staff was nice. We had an issue with our room key one evening and could not get in. The desk is not manned in the evening so getting a hold of someone to let us in was difficult but once we made contact they remedied the situation promptly. Make sure you know the proper area code prefixes in Finland so you can make a call when needed! Yes, we would stay there again.

Nice stay at Sparre

I spent 4 days at Sparre on quiet time early January. The hotel look is a bit old, but everything functions well. Large new TV was a plus. My room didn’t have safety deposit or minibar, so I think they should consider these if they want to upgrade a bit. The room was very quiet. The staff were very friendly and due to these Covid times you could arrange breakfast times with them. The breakfast was tasty and had a lot of options to choose from. I also got a very late checkout for free and it was very nice gesture from them. All in all I had a nice stay and with little improvements it could become even more pleasant.

Horrendous.

The only access to the lobby was the hotel elevator that smelled, was filthy, with a large blob of spit on the door. The room was very outdated. The shower was disgusting with a lot of mold and grime. The room smelled bad. There was a loud machine noise all night. There was no "staff." We arrived to a closed, locked lobby at 3:00 pm. After calling security we had to navigate the vile elevator again, found our key on a counter, and found our vile room. This was not even remotely acceptable. Way over priced. Horrendous. A rating of 1 is much too kind.

The hotel is on the third floor of an office building and is fairly standard but I was pleasantly surprised by the wonderfully friendly and helpful staff who really made me feel at home.

Ein tolles Hotel an Top Lage zu gutem Preis

Das Hotel ist perfekt im Zentrum gelegen. Im obersten Stock ist das Hotel. 2 junge Mitarbeiter haben uns mit viel Freundlichkeit begrĂŒsst. Schade war, dass sie uns nicht darauf hin gewiesen hatten, dass es NUR bis 09.00 Uhr FrĂŒhstĂŒck gibt. Zimmer schön, Fenster super isoliert mit einer wertvollen Lamellenstoren im Glas. Betten schön bequem. Was fehlt ist irgend ein Schrank im Zimmer. Dann hat es eine Tiefgarage welche ich mit 15 Euro pro Nacht relativ teuer fand. Aber die PlĂ€tze sind grosszĂŒgig. Es fĂŒhrt allerdings ĂŒber eine Treppe zum Lift. Es hat einen kleinen KĂŒhlschrank. Am nĂ€chsten Morgen standen wir um 09.30 Uhr im leeren Speisesaal. Der freundliche Mitarbeiter macht uns darauf aufmerksam, dass sie nichts mehr anbieten können, da sie schon Lunch vorbereiten. Die FrĂŒhstĂŒckszeit bis 09.00 Uhr ist fĂŒr ein Businesshotel völlig okay. FĂŒr ein Ferienhotel aber etwas kurz. Kurze FrĂŒhstĂŒck Zeiten und kein Stauraum sind die wenigen negativen Punkte. Alles andere ist toll. Die Lage könnte nicht besser sein. Auch der FrĂŒhstĂŒcksraum sehr schön. Wir wĂŒrden jederzeit dieses Hotel wieder buchen.

HyvÀ ja positiivinen yöpyminen hotelli Sparressa. Huone oli siisti ja hyvÀkuntoinen, lisÀpisteitÀ huoneen televisiosta, mihin oli ladattu muutama sovellus ja pystyi katsomaan sporttia omilla tunnuksilla. Aamiainen oikein hyvÀ ja selkeÀ kattaus. Ei mitÀÀn huonoa sanottavaa, ajankohta oli kevÀt eli ulkona ei vielÀ lÀmmin, joten paha sanoa, millaista huoneessa olisi kuumana kesÀpÀivÀnÀ,koska hotelli rakennuksen ylimmÀssÀ kerroksessa. Huoneessa toki oli tolppatuuletin.
